    Girom Christina Calica, This move is done quickly. From the time they hit you with the elbow to the time your leg is broken like a twig will seem like an instant. Also you would have to manage to maneuver your leg over and around the rest of his body to even contemplate kicking them in the face. I've used and instructed this move, believe me, if done right anyone'd be tapping immediately.

    Also the knee bar is a very good way to immobilize your opponent. If you can break or dislocate the hip bone from the pelvic girdle. I've never been in a kne bar but it looks pretty effective if you had to use it.

    @ihaterobbie123 - I've used it in class and in a tournaments. It does work, but you have to initiate the move quickly in order to generate the momentum and force your opponent to roll. There was a detail that was missing in the animation. You should shoot your (left) leg between your opponent's leg and back kick him as you roll this will assist the takedown. This move when done correctly works against people who are aware of it, so it is rather easy for those who are not familiar with it.

    My last fight (hopefully forever) was at a cousin's wedding reception. A guest enjoyed the open bar just a little too much, mouthed off (after displaying dance moves that should be banned in civilized countries), and refused to leave when asked. We wrestled to the ground and I put him to sleep with a kataha jime (half-nelson + collar choke). He woke up in the elevator as his two buddies and a very upset girlfriend took him up to his room. Except for my wrinkled shirt, no one suffered any harm.

    certainly, along with the inverted heel hook, the knee bar is the most painful move out there, its not something to fool around with in practice. I have had a partial elbow hyperextension from an armbar because I tried to slam out of it, I also had a partial knee hyperextension from wrestling, and it hurt ten times more than the elbow. I can't imagine how painful a full knee hyperextension could be.

    How bout if the guy straightens out his body to align with his leg and swings his foot to part with his right...Wouldn't your chin be the point of impact? On another what he retracts his hamstring ie. keeping his knee bent, it would make it much harder for the knee bar to be utilized correct? I'm guessing after the initial roll would throw him off and this move be utilized quickly so prevent this correct?

    @STARSandBARS1994 in those situations grappling is very effective. removing or minimizing a puncher's chance increases the importance of technique. As a wrestler and practitioner of brazilian jiu jitsu, i feel 10x more comfortable on the ground than standing, but i still feel going to ground is risky. as for multiple assailants, running or striking are the best.

    I learned a different way to get out of a bear hug. You stomp on their feet or kick the shin and then hammerfist backfist combo and then ethier clear out or do a hipthrow or a reap takedown and nuetralize with a dropping knee/punch combo. Depends if you're in danger if you want to clear out or takedown.

    I doubt whether this is useful in the marine, but one thing is for sure: no one expects a move like this and if u do it well you've snapped his knee in one second, then just stand up and walk away. Unless you're fighting the dark grey guy offcourse. I've seen him getting beaten up 100 times with the craziest moves from all over the world, but the guy is unstoppable!

    Yes, MCMAP is primarily a Weapons Martial Art. I know I carry at least 1 KABAR combat knife and 1 pocket knife with me outside the wire. MCMAP trains in Knife, Baton (for crowd/situation control), Bayonet, Belts, and any weapons of opportunity. Just keep in mind that this is only if you run out of ammo, and that's where combat marksmanship comes into play. Even though I haven't had to use MCMAP in combat myself (thank god), I know a few who have. In an urban war-zone, it can/does happen.

    Something else you have to remember. When they test the strengths of these attack moves. They always have a trained fighter providing the forces. So of course the average person on some of these, not all, won't be able to produce the amount of force. But it would still hurt.

    Its a matter of gravity. The guy behind u is holding on (already committed). U stuggle a little only to get him to hold tighter. Then u bend over reaching between ur legs. Grab one of his as BOTH your weights are shifted forward. U have the advantage of being closer to the ground. So U roll while he falls over u.

    BJJ was developed because the brazilions were generally very small people and needed a way to defend themselves against larger and much stronger opponents, Technique is the most important factor. But yes, against a trained opponent who is stronger and knows the defense it is tougher

  • @no_fuck_u1
    @no_fuck_u13 жыл бұрын

    I think one of the easiest ways to do this but one of the most risky ways is to be in a backside under position (YOUR on all fours and your apponent is on your side). You can slip your left leg between your apponents legs, turn your upper body right to grab his achilles tendent and then roll under his body and to the right. It's easy but also risky becuase your apponent can put you in a bulldog choke or take your back fully and put you into a rear naked choke.

    @STARSandBARS1994 the obvious danger of grappling in a street fight are the unknowns of a street fight. it's tough to see a weapon when you are using your head to advance position, the hard asphalt can result in surprise damage, additional assailants attacking from your blind spots, when your head is right at boot level.

  • @Zefobenga
    @Zefobenga14 жыл бұрын

    @unclesamsplayground yeah, it might work, specially if the opponent isnt an experienced one. but since everytechnique has a counter.... if u are applying the armbar and the opponent rolls, well, roll with him and keep it tight. u will still have him in it, with both of you facing the ground. have been in this situation several of times in judo.

    You can also slam your head backward into your attacker's face, disorienting him long enough to drop your hips down until one of his arms is on top of your shoulder, then you can easily execute an ippon seo nage (one arm shoulder throw). His head and back will slam into the ground with enough force to knock him out if you're on the street or just hard ground. If not, then you've still got his arm, step over into a juji gatame (arm bar) and shatter his elbow.

    Knee bars are hard to finish in any setting anyway. If you're able to break the hands by getting two elbows in, you're in good shape to pretty much do anything. But yeah, if I'm out patrolling some remote village and I get lazy and someone dude sinks in a choke, I'm thinking hip check, side step, or heel to balls...not knee bar.
