They're all 616 Canon Hulk, they're just different power-ups and states of mind, which DB themselves used. It's not like they're a different universal version altogether. 2. "Why did you use Dr. Strange and other characters" During the classic runs, we've seen Dr. Strange during the same era fight Loki who is scared of Thor, whom Hulk has matched up against numerous times and he was even hesitant of fighting a mindless Savage Hulk. The Undying Ones were a big enough threat that they could capture Dr. Strange. Although it was Strange's plan to stay in their realm to prevent them from escaping, the narrative implies that he couldn't fight or defeat them as effectively. While the Dark-Crawler had been fighting them for a while. Generally speaking, these things scale to each other. 3. "Why did you use high-end/wank feats" Well, DB themselves mentioned the Dark-Crawler feat (which I consider an outlier) and their logic was to use the character at his "best", so that's why we mentioned these best showings for Hulk and further extrapolated on them. We said in the video that a consistent Hulk would lose. 4. "But Gogeta and Broly transcended dimensions" They did and are within the 4D level but on a lower scale than Hulk's better showings which has him affecting or destroying higher-dimensional constructs and characters.

In his most consistent non wanked Showings Hulk can't stack up to Broly but his higher and less consistent showings would slap all of Dragon Ball

And when shown info why he dismissed it and then can ONLY talk about mcu hulk😂 I also saw someone say that perfect CELL(not even SUPER perfect) could absorb ZENO, Grand priest, Gogeta BLUE, BROLY, and ETERNITY all in 1 go. It’s kind of annoying that all the big comic characters are incredibly inconsistent. You either have them just struggling to blow up a planet or less, but then they’ll have a single issue where they just destroy all time lines and dimensions because that writer just felt like making them OP that day. It doesn’t help that there are multiple writers for Marvel/DC. If comic characters were consistent between issues, then ‘what if’ vs battles would be easier to digest.

It's because sometimes the stories go big, but sometimes take it to a smaller scale. Imo it's what makes marvel more interesting than dragonball. The characters are constantly growing in power so most fights boil down to who can blow shit up better. Meanwhile in marvel sometimes strategy and unorthodox methods are used in fights to win against insanely powerful foes. U can like what u like sure but marvels "inconsistency" is because they sometimes value the story more than the power.

The fact that you’re not only a Dragon Ball fan, but also a Dragon Ball fan who doesn’t suck off the franchise and treat them like unbeatable gods has already earned you my respect, but the amount of research you two did astounds me. I knew Hulk was broken but FUCK I didn’t know he was THIS overpowered.

So to put things simply. Broly beats Hulk if we use their most consistent feats. But if we use Hulks higher end feats, then he stomps Broly and all of DBS. I personally don’t see why Hulks higher end feats shouldn’t be included, as the whole point of these debates in my opinion is to pit both characters against each other at their absolute best. Especially when it comes to characters like Hulk who always hold back and rarely ever show their full power.

Because powerlevels in comics work differently from writer to writer. ( Flash getting repeatedly tagged by humans . Those humans should by default be fast enough to dodge bullet which they are not) There are writers who cap characters at planet level while the other has the exact same character at Universal. If we include anything Batman is Universal and so is Captain America via scaling.. And every thug that hurts them is that as well via scaling chain. It makes Vs debates impossible and would be only based on outliers. People have wanked Db Heroes to 12D. There is no actual Limit to wank and use outliers but this results in a drop in quality in the vs- debate.

@@RP-zl5ix I agree too at least some degree with what you’re saying. Although many excuses can be made for things like regular humans being able to tag speedsters like the Flash. Deathstroke was once able to stab the Flash for example, but that obviously doesn’t mean Deathstroke now has immeasurable combat speed. It can just viewed as simple luck on Deathstrokes part and Flash being sloppy, which was likely mentioned in the comic. However Batman and Deathstroke actually are in fairness consistently shown to be capable of dodging bullets. But the thing with characters like Hulk, is that they don’t often show their full power. So using lesser but more consistent feats to gauge them when they aren’t at full power is in my opinion, kind of downplaying them as a result.

Honestly I always figured Broly was just Akira Toriyama’s version of Hulk.

It's an interesting battle for sure. Agree btw they downplayed both cosmologies, and that Marvel overal has a much larger one. I think everybody would agree that if we use a consistent standard Hulk, Broly wins for sure, no contest. As for Hulks high end feats and scaling, he does indeed occasionaly somewhat compare to or even beat guys who are at times portrayed as higher dimensional or even greater, and if you chain scale him to the peak showings of everybody he ever fought then sure he wins, but I think that's like scaling Sentry to peak Molecule man since he beat MM before, or scaling the thing to peak molecule man since he could compare to him at times, or scaling Spider man to silver surfer since he gave him trouble before. I'd consider Hulk being anywhere beyond Universal+ to be to inconsistent and or outliers tbh, so imo in a reasonable comparison with consistent or even high end Hulk, Broly wins, unless you scale chain Hulk to being like Eternity level, or use outliers way beyond his normal showings, which honestly you could do to almost any long running Marvel or DC character with enough effort. I find scaling Comic characters to each other to be tricky to decide where to draw the line at, since often there power and scaling fluctuates so drastically. Personally I'd say in conclusion a consistent standard Hulk loses hard, even high end Hulk with Universe level+ power and multipliers loses but in a closer battle, but including outliers and scaling chains for a full wank Hulk, Hulk would win.

I think he's capable of somewhat consistent Skyfather levels when he really needs to/has a strong resolve cause I'd say during the whole Planet Hulk & WWH ordeal, the Chaos War, his battle on Olympus, and HOTM allowed him to reach these new levels and he's much stronger than that now.

@@Chuck i have question 096 vs Naruto and Sasuke Yes I know that 096 is WAY stronger but what I mean is that it has been stated that 096 speed can vary and he seemed to be keeping up with 682 in there fight so assuming that his speed Is something that Naruto and Sasuke can handle then would they be able to seal him before then or would his sheer strength, speed,endurance, and healing factor be able to take them out

So this info came out after this video was made. But it’s been revealed that Hulk is, for all intents and purposes, an avatar of The One Below All, who is literally The one Above All when he gets angry. That’s the pool of power that the Hulk can pull from… Hulk is definitely strongest there is, officially.

It's because comics have dozens of writers, writing dozens of stories for dozens of characters all happening at the same time in the same universe, and it is all canon. It would be like the each of the main writer of AOT, Naruto, Re:Zero, Konosoba, etc... Each writing stories about a certain DBZ character, and it is canon.

Even with all this scaling, even if someone were to argue "nuh uh Broly is a billion times stronger than Hulk" it still ignores the fact that Death Battle was using IMMORTAL HULK. The entire idea is that as long as he access to the Green Door through The One Below All, he'll come back. So even if Broly would honestly kill Hulk the way he did in the battle, that complete disintegration wouldn't stick. Hulk "dying" would provide a HARD RESET. The only way for Broly to truly end the fight would be if he could kill TOBA itself which... haha, NO. Don't even joke like that. Honestly just put the video on loop at the point Hulk arrives in a weird green meteor and call that the true ending, in that it would never end if the Death Battle people knew anything about Hulk as he currently operates. Putting Broly up against a being that will live past someone named Mr. Immortal and see the end of time itself and cross over to the next reset of reality itself, and thinking there'd be any scenario where Broly definitively wins? Ridiculous.

Toriyama makes it impossible to properly scale his characters, because he doesn't want to commit to any specific system of measurement of power. Therefore, Dragon Ball characters are capable of being inconsistent with their power, simply because of bad writing. On the other hand, we have Hulk, who has MANY different versions of himself, each one having different feats and personalities. This fight was inconsistent from the beginning. It's just meant to look cool.

Transformations only as powerful as the base. And in the universal tournament goku fought the bald alien jiren guy at his base and didnt outright die so his base is already stronger than when he was when he fought broly with super sayian blue. But that was when he was coming off of imperfect ultra instinct/spirit bomb power up boost. Id scale blue vegito at somewhere way below ultra instinct perfect goku. Its not just raw power anymore but the abilities granted like auto dodging. The whole universe\dimension traversal. They already did that in dragon ball universe and no ones minds are collapsing on their own because probably ki. Ki is the universal ass pull for dbs. The more characters have of it the more feats and abilities they can do. Imo its unfair to compare a more detailed information dc has on its feats and what x things does. If they meet dbs half way on equal grounds db characters win flat out. Only saying this because dc character are too grounded even with their reality shattering feats. But on the broly vs hulk, hulk wins no question. Comparing latest dbs manga and the broly fight, krillin would probably bitch slap broly at this point (not really but you get the point). But we dont know how much broly improved since then because there is no damn info.

@@Andytlp bruh he didn’t outright die against Jiren simply because Jiren couldn’t kill. It had nothing to do with how strong Goku was. Jiren while still heavily suppressed was stronger than Blue Goku. Base Goku only survived because killing wasn’t allowed in the tournament.

It's odd how the Death Battle research team completely ignored dimensional tiering in this battle,but acknowledged that Archie Sonic's 5D Chaos Control couldn't reach the infinite dimensional Speed Force. The metas they use are more inconsistent than Hulk's writers...

This why i dislike scaling or debating on marvel and dc comics. Things get wayyyy too complicated.

You know comics have been made for some time and old main timelines have been deleted since then. There alternative realities. This is a big problem when debating batman and superman alot as well. Like people seem not to understand that the most powerfuless version of superman destroys goku no matter what.

That's because I highly doubt (and esp Toriyama) comic/manga book writers really pay attention, thought of or even cared about that shit. They create these characters and storyline plots just for the entertainment of it. We as fans just overcomplicate tf outta the logic and powers when they were never meant to be taken that serious in the first place 😂

What had confused me the most is how they seemed to shy away from infinite strength and infinity here, yet their whole explanation back in the goku vs superman is that superman's strength was infinite. Either apply the same here or don't apply it to either, just seems pretty inconsistent cuz even as a huge dragon ball fan I really went into it knowing Broly should lose cuz Hulk is just that strong

They never said Superman's strength was infinite, they only said it had no limits. There's a difference between a flight of stairs that without any limits can get taller as long as it has the energy to do so, and a flight of stairs that is infinitely tall. Also, saying hulk can shake over 100 infinite universes is the most ridiculous statement I've ever heard. If the Universe is infinite, it's infinite, you wouldn't have more than one... Even shaking an infinite universe is just dumb... Using infinity in any scale of power is just not feasible

The whole point of Goku V Superman 2 was that they basically wanted to kill the hate they got for the first Death Battle by saying "Superman wins logically independent of strength, because he has no limits (and thusly is infinite)". While also using a composite Superman from numerous different canon to create one whose sole purpose is to be whatever is stronger than Goku (who they low-balled). Now anyone with actual knowledge of how this stuff works would tell you there are scales to infinity (or would say a character is immeasurable), and that if Superman had this fiction destroying power of infinity as DB seems to believe that anyone who has beaten Superman would also have it or anyone who makes him struggle (as 1% of infinity is still infinity). This means Batman would be infinite, but it also means random Gotham thugs would be infinite, which means random civilians in DC would also be infinite, do you see the problem yet?

After watching the _Broly vs Hulk: Death Battle_ video, I knew straight away that you'll make a video about it, and sure enough... you did lol. To be fair, at least the fight was entertaining, though inaccurate, but still entertaining to watch. Also, when it comes to Death Battle, best thing to do is not take the fights too seriously. Are you ever gonna do a video about Cosmic Armor Superman? Like, how really powerful he is or whether or not, he's considered to be a Superman or a machine that resembles Superman; which is still debated. There's also some videos about having Goku go up against THAT version of Superman lmao!

Scaling Marvel characters is pretty inconsistent due to all of the different writers they have so I’m fine with whoever winning but I’m happy some misconceptions with the scaling got cleared up

Exactly I guess that was too much work for death battle , ( tbh same here I wouldn’t wanna do all that research just for certain feats and comic issues to contradict themselves. But you’re right. Marvel and DC have too many iterations of their characters and ppl like to jumble those different versions into one fighter to shit on DB character.

I have been LOVING the Immortal Hulk Series. I think it does a lot to give Hulk a more modern look. If you did a video on the green door and stuff it would be awesome.

I'm glad I seen this vid cuz now I know hulk is waaaay more powerful than I thought. Like when the death battle was posted and after I seen it, I knew the feats were off on both characters. I knew They downplayed both hulk and broly, but OH MY KAMI they downplayed the hell outta hulk beyond what I knew. Lol I knew hulk was more powerful than they put him to be but I assumed he wasn't beyond Broly, but holy scadoodle this pointed out what I needed to know about hulk. I wonder how they’d handle the new information with new manga info about Goku and Vegeta being among the top three most powerful mortals in the universe, but not Broly, and Hulk recently ravaging Iron Man’s Celestial armor and getting a new form.

Death battle is comparing a character that has been around for almost 60 years, has been in thousands of comic books, movies, and tv shows to a character that has made one appearance in one movie. It's not a fair comparison.

So I think, they have to be specific on which Hulk is fighting. A run down of his most dominant personalities (Just really love breaking Banner's mind down and I just want people to know how complex The Hulk really is): Savage Hulk is the childhood Banner suppressed due to his father being abusive; That's why this Hulk is the most innocent, quick to anger, struggle to even string together sentences. Grey Hulk/Joe Fixit, the teenage angst Banner never got to express; Craftier and much more intelligent than SH, better at fighting but physically weaker (Due to being able to control his anger a bit better) and likes cars, suits, liquor, gambling and women. He is Banner at his most understanding and forgiving. And Devil Hulk, in Banner's mindscape there are thousands of Hulks locked in his mind; With those 3 basically guarding the prison. Devil Hulk is locked up in the deepest part of his mind; And he is the representation of Banner's love for himself. Basically Banner hates himself so much, that he subconsciously locked his self love in the deepest part of his mind. That's why he's the Immorta Hulk, he won't allow Banner to die. Doc Green is like a runner up in being one of the dominant personality; He is Banner's intellect and narcissistic tendencies rolled into one. Highly intelligent and uncaring, closest Hulk to becoming the Maestro.

Now that Immortal hulk issue 50 came out this makes this battle even more of what it should of been a stump

Never really checked out any debunk videos of Death Battle. This is because I am sadly and debatably shamefully afraid of negativity, critical tones, and overall really terrified of people being overly critical and/or pessimistic. Anxiety sucks. This debunk is actually really nice! Chuck is chill, and so was the other guy. They were calm, not aggressive, and presented evidence in a non biased and well constructed way. And the saddest part is they didn’t even show famous thunderclap not just talking about any old type of Thunderclap I’m talking about the gamma ray bomb even Broly would would be amazed, have a smile on his face. Maybe even Hulk which would be a little extreme because Brody never has done it before, but Hulk might get Broly to a point where he goes to straight to blue, Hulk would be the only one to truly able to do it making him go blue because Broly so angry, it like it’s like a feedback loop for both of them. No shit. If you write a character to be overpowered, they're going to be overpowered. Don't know why saying "this comic character solos this anime" is some kind of gotcha as if the writers can't just bullshit whatever they want with a character that's never been consistent.

Well… now that “Immortal Hulk” ended, all of those “high end” feats are completely reasonable… Because the Hulk was revealed to literally be the destruction to balance out The One Above All’s creation… He is literally the equal opposite power to God in the Marvel universe. Hulk really is the strongest there is.

This gotta be the most talked about death battle since Goku vs Superman

13:31 Not only that, but they got OVER the issues, they all work together to accomplish a goal and have been shown capable of such. When escaping the base he was being experimented on after being incapicated by the avengers, devil hulk let's Joe fix it take over, and when skinny savage hulk was being beaten on by thing, he lets joe take over to talk thing out of it, and joe even asks for savage hulks help in fixing his broken arms. They really left some stuff out.

The biggest thing Death Battle messed up with Broly was use Kale's weakness that her power was literally killing her despite continuously becoming stronger. Neither iteration of Broly has that problem. I get why they would include her when building him up but that weakness never should have been discussed. addition: There is a lot to discuss to in regards to which material you use because the manga handles things differently. One key point in that is that both Goku and Vegeta are technically stronger than their anime self due to having Master Super Saiyan Blue. Which now brings up the question "Do you combine the two cannons? Or which do you choose?"

I think it's mostly cause they tend to ignore statements that seem too out of it for theyre researcher (The Infinite DB Universe via Deizenshuu), and tend to focus on newer statements since theyre the most recent and retcons happen all the time in comics (1 trillion lightyear Marvel Universe vs Infinite Marvel Universe) even though they don't say it

Another thing that annoys me is when it’s a total mismatch. For a example the Dragon Zord vs Kiryu

I was ok with whoever won, hulk is a character with mainly feats on his side, while db have amazing feats, but the statements they say weaken them, all the time like all of the times they said light speed feats, like when kid buu learned instantaneous movement, but the feat was moving across the universe instantly, or ssj vegeta in super not being able too lift the metal man, but Goku catching a mountain, and the universal punches. All I’m saying is db characters should be far more powerful than they are, but the creator statements really make it impossible to know by how much.

The movies are fine with how they name feats, it’s not really a problem in the movies.

Imagine if Goku said “what, I put enough power in that spirit bomb, too destroy the star I escaped from, just going to Namiek.”, it wouldn’t just make frieza improve as a threat, but it would also make Coolers revenge make sense, why he did not just survive being thrown into the sun, but also the Kamehameha, that sent him their.

I think Marvel, over the years, has just been too inconsistent with the power levels and the scale of their power levels. Of course a comic written in the 60's, 70's or even beyond may have made the mistake to call the universe infinite, because that was the concept of the universe at the time. Only recently, within the last 10 years or so, have "realistic" measures of the universe been taken. Though, the imaginary universes in games and comics can of course differ. Also, Marvel characters seem to be more or less powerful depending on not only which arc they are they are in, but which universe within that arc. These death battle series would be far better off taking the most recent canon iterations of the characters if they want an entertaining video because, as the video said, they have decades of writing, rewriting and power scaling to contend with. At the last parts of a story line, they scale to multi-extra-trans dimensional beings, only to be fighting "basic" city or world threatening beings in their next arc. Dragon Ball series seem to be a little more consistent in that regard but began to write themselves into corners when they made the most powerful beings in the universe and scaled the other characters to them. In other words, their is a top limit to their power, where as in Marvel, if they reached a limit in a previous storyline, they can just rewrite a new story for the character and have them gain new powers.

In summary; in death battle they were wrong (no surprise to anyone, they have done it before)... If we talk about the recurring version of the hulk, savage hulk, broly would have some chances to win although I do not think he will exceed it. But if we talk about superior versions like Green skars, world breaker, mindless and immortal, victory goes to the hulk... That makes more sense. Also, it is noted that the death battlers were completely unaware that the immortal hulk is a TOBA avatar; the bottom line if broly wants to completely beat the hulk, he too would need to beat TOBA, which... is RIDICULOUS.

I think when doing Marvel or DC characters(or really any character with multiple different incarnations) it would help if they picked a version of them to run with in each battle. Instead they play around with cherry picking only the feats to support whatever result they think will generate the most buzz. People commonly see Hulk as being unbeatable in a slugfest, so they have Hulk lose in slugfests to other big beefy characters and do whatever feat manipulation they need to in order to justify it to the masses who don't know enough to distinguish the various incarnations being used.

See that's the issue with death battle I love the animation and how they at least try to do something like this but it's more for entertainment than anything and if they had specifically used the most consistent version if any character they use than a lot of the death battles would go very differently like the hulk they used in broly vs hulk is vastly different than the hulk they used in hulk vs doomsday and it ruins the narrative of the fight and what they were trying to go for I like that you guys clarified a lot of things that had many people confused on the whole matter and you guys made a really awesome vid

No matter what, I'm just glad that Death Battle had finally dropped the line about the Universe 7 macrocosm being smaller than our universe.

Looking back at One Below All was really One Above All. Hulk has a very small tespoon of OAA powers in him.

I never took Death Battle as the end all be all of vs debates because they have their own interpretation of feats of various fictional characters. Sometimes they're right and sometimes they got it wrong especially in the past. I really don't mind the verdict of the fight because it satisfied me.

Can you do collaborations with Seth on Death Battles and other versus videos again? I really miss those.

I do very much enjoy the death battle animations, I see it as how they think it would play out, and not how it would actually play out, I do however dislike the inconsistencies in data presented and such, I'd rather they reached out to those who actively powerscale and have a understanding of it

A lot of this is widely inaccurate to begin with. The level of Damage Broly dish's out from the outright get go is more then enough to bypass hulk. If you wanna be simple minded and make it Composite Hulk sure he wins. An yet we can cherry pick Broly to make him universal level being something Hulk outright isn't dealing with on average

I love Marvel but Modern Marvel is becoming as bad as Modern D.C. with the bad and inconsistent writing to boot, I love Marvel's Cosmic Hierarchy but it's not as stunning and amazing as it used to be when Mortal characters always beat Abstracts or T.L.T. it just gets annoying.

Given that they have their own studio with a ton of projects to work on you're going to go ahead and probably plenty of deadlines they had to meet for themselves, I can forgive some of these mistakes. However, maybe they should start getting help from the hardcore fans out there with the research. Not just me hardcore fans and whatever characters who have on roster at the time. So obviously they're going to need different hardcore fans from different fandoms depending on the battle

What I appreciate is the research done/ I had an interesting debate with friends and on Quora about a lot of the inconsistencies in DB’s claims. One being how the hulk could revive from being vaporized, but lost to vaporization. A retcon if I ever saw one.
