Hulk Hogan Goes To NYC, Black Machismo Runs TNA - DEADLOCK Podcast Retro Review

Ойын-сауық

Modest to the top! We’re back in TNA again, as we review the March 29, 2010 episode of IMPACT. Black Machismo is running the show with Eric Bischoff while Hogan is out of town… or is he, brother? The main event sees Jeff Hardy, Eric Young, and Rob Van Dam facing off against The Band: Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, and Sean Waltman! …and Bubba the Love Sponge is also here for some terrible reason. We also have a first blood match for the TNA Knockouts Title, as Tara and Daffney collide! The Pope D’Angelo Dinero has a confrontation with Desmond Wolfe, while Kurt Angle and Mr. Anderson have a showdown before their cage match. TNA World Champion AJ Styles battles Jeff Jarrett with the #1 Contendership on the line! And lastly, will Abyssmania finally run wild?! The answer may surprise you!

The Hogan Era PTSD is so real. I feel like James is the only one that can express it properly. The Book of DILLIGAF ruined my life.

The fact that TNA not only survived this era but are now back and are thriving in a way. That story itself is amazing. Scott D Amore doesn't get enough credit for what he has done for TNA.

It should be noted that the heat between Bubba and Kong was because Bubba was basically calling her racial slurs, saying shit gorilla and ape. I think Foley was covering his ass with his statement. Imagine how pissed off the kindest man in pro wrestling had to be to throw a forearm that stiff.

People only remember because the whole thing didn't work out. Once the wrestlers are over, people stop caring about the name. I remembered people complaining about 'Undisputed Era' for about a month. Then they are over, so people stopped complaining and just enjoy the act. Heck, LA Knight is a stupid name, but obviously now who cares because he is entertaining.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't Nigel in and out of TNA due to his health issues that led to him retiring eventually? I don't know for sure, I wasn't even watching TNA at this time, and lots of this is just hearsay I remember. Credit where is due, I started watching again because of Mr. Anderson when he feuded with Sting. I did keep watching into the Destination America move and sropped around when Lashley became champ. Honestly, those NY shows in the Grand Ballroom and the UK tapings are some of the best TV TNA ever produced. Like, Rockstar Spud vs EC3 is so damn good. I think TNA put it in their top 10 best TV matches on Impact ever around the time Impact 1000 aired. For me, the availability made me stop watching. The best investment they ever made was developing an app and getting on KZread. It's pretty much how I keep up with them these days.
