Hugo Heredia - Mananita Pampera (1976)

Музыка

Prepare to embark on a rhythmic journey like no other with Hugo Heredia's mesmerizing album, "Mananita Pampera." Originally released on an obscure French label in the 1970s, this record may have faded into obscurity if not for the discerning ears of DJ Paul Murphy, who unearthed it in London's burgeoning jazz dance scene. Now, thanks to the efforts of Jazz Room Records, this lost masterpiece is back, complete with original artwork and bonus live tracks.
Featuring a stellar lineup including the legendary Horace Parlan on piano, "Mananita Pampera" is a fusion of Latin and jazz that defies categorization. From the soulful melodies of "El Beto" to the pulsating rhythms of "Tunita," each track on this album is a testament to Heredia's musical vision and improvisational prowess. With Peter Frei on acoustic bass, Ivanir Mandrake De Nascimento on congas, and Peter Schmidlin on drums, the ensemble creates a sonic tapestry that is both captivating and exhilarating.
Produced by drummer Peter Schmidlin, "Mananita Pampera" is a testament to the power of collaboration and creativity. With its infectious grooves and fiery solos, this album transports listeners to a world where music knows no boundaries. So whether you're a seasoned jazz aficionado or a curious newcomer, let Hugo Heredia's "Mananita Pampera" be your guide to a musical adventure like no other. Get ready to dance, groove, and lose yourself in the magic of Latin jazz fusion.

Argentinian musician... actually this is his second solo effort, soon after he began many collaborations, active until his death 2019. "Mananita Pampera" translates as "Pampas Little Morning".

Honestly, where do you find all these old albums? Do you have a home collection, or is it anything that goes?
