Whether you love musical theatre or hate it (I'm honestly not a fan), the actors who embrace it and continue to entertain within it alongside their TV and film careers are very frequently our finest performers. You can theorize about that all you like, but I think the reality is that musical theatre actors are true entertainers who perform for the love of the craft and embody its best attributes.

I think it's because there's a huge difference between being on stage live in front of people and being filmed for a movie. So I'd say the theory you stated with the musical actors has to include theater-actors, too. It's honest, immediate response to what you say and do. With, of course, in musical the added difficulty to act AND sing.

Hugh Jackman is such a huge talent, His commitment to his craft is just unsurpassed. His work ethic gives his audiences so many smiles as we watch him either on stage or in his many films. (His outstanding performance - and literal transformation body-wise - in Les Miserables should have been a lock for an Oscar!). Thank you Hugh!

I just saw him today in the Music Man. He came to the stage door and was so warm and gracious to everyone standing there. You can just tell what a good person he is. And he was fabulous in the show!

I went to see his one man show in 2019 and it was tremendous. 2 hour show and he was non stop. It would be great to see him live, but I agree, a staggering amount of money. That doesn't include airfare, hotel stay, food, etc.

He wasn't kidding though. I remember an interview from forever ago when he was starting to break out as a film star and he was doing a stage version of Oklahoma! He said he tried a few different ways to get it and eventually he just mimicked what another performer did. He has to put so much into these performances which shows his true commitment and you appreciate him all the more for it.

Every time Stephen starts performing with one of his theatre actor guests, I gain three years on my life. I just love his respect and passion for live theatre and seeing him spotlight it makes me so so so happy, especially because you can tell how happy it makes HIM

You don't usually see Stephen get so excited except when he's talking about Lord of The Rings. I wish he knew more. I could watch Stephen and Hugh do the entirety of The Music Man while sitting at the desk. It was nice watching Stephen's face light up as Hugh performed.

oh I love Hugh Jackman so much! I saw him live when he was on tour, what felt like 10 years ago, it was such a delightful evening!

Hugh Jackman missed the stage so much, glad Stephen gave him a chance to warm up haha.

It took me a while to remember that the intro tune starting at 1:25 was "Carry On Wayward Son" by Kansas. Great tune!

I had the honour of seeing Hugh in concert. What a show!!

I remember watching the movie Swordfish back when it came out and the first X-Men movie and I thought, “This Hugh guy is pretty good, he’s got a good cast around here. He feels out of place.” That didn’t age well. Hugh is amazing.

When you hear him quickly recite the lyrics at 5:35 all happy and everything, it does feel like his talents were wasted on playing Wolverine all this time, where the highest of dialogues he had to work with were "F@ck off" and "Hey Bob". And yet, if he could cameo as Old Man Logan or Wolverine in a Multiverse thing of the MCU, I would freaking cream myself from awesomeness overload.

He is best known for Wolverine, but he has played many different parts over the years, and has consistently returned to the stage every few years. I appreciate how much he still challenges himself as a performer. One of the best! 😊

Seriously....he's more american than australian these days.

I tried tap dancing when I was younger. I was surprised by how much of a workout some of those routines could give you. When you go right into some of the faster tap dances, you feel like you just went on a run. There were moments when I was literally out of breath. Good exercise.

He won my heart when I was introduced to him in Kate and Leopold. What a man!! 🥰

I know Hugh is a Broadway Performer, but he’s got bars! I enjoy him so much.

I saw Hugh in Las Vegas. One of the best shows I have seen.

I'd be one of the first to want to punch Harold in the mouth if I encountered him in real life, but in the context of the musical, and as a fictional character, I really like the way he is written and the way his 'gift of the gab' is expressed in his singing.

It's similar to another Hugh Jackman musical role, when he portrayed one of the most vile and disgusting mountebanks to ever run a variety show (in The Greatest Showman), but as the character is written in the movie he's enjoyable to watch.

The man is so modest. " i'm not a trained singer/dancer etc.etc." And he can dance he can sing better than most. One doesn't have to go to art school/dance studio/vocal training to be good at any of them. I know a lot of people who went to prestigious schools for performing art and yet very pitchy or only good at certain type of movement etc. He's simply so talented and hard working actor of triple threat.

I’m not a musical fan except for any musical with Hugh Jackson. Les Mis was incredible. He’s an amazing guy, I just love him.

To pull off a decade + of Wolverine and then sing and dance in The Greatest Showman takes a lot of talent. Hugh is one gifted actor.

Now this is versatility! From dancing amongst sheets hanging on a building top laundry line (in the Greatest Showman), to fighting amongst sheets hanging on a building top laundry line! 😆

What a talented man. I am proud he was my Wolverine/Logan for as long as he was 👍🏾
