Newey said He wanted to work with Lance stroll after his input for 21/22 RB, but Max is not going to match Lance in same car so very unlikely he is going to Astin

It will be good to finally see Max driving a car that is equal to other teams on the grid

I mean hopefully, this makes Max leave for a lesser team. Not that max cant win races in a different car, im sure he can, but it would definitely mix up the podiums with more regularity..thus making Formula 1 more exciting for us as fans. I never watched that netflix show, im here for the racing. Been a f1 fan since my dad took me to my first F1 race when i was 10 years old. No race is boring to me. Not now, not when lewis was winning, not when Seb was winning etc. But yea i miss the 2012 season. 1st 6 races, 6 different winners...5 WC on the grid that year (if i recall correctly.). If your a new fan, get f1tv and catch that season. good stuff.

This year's Netflix's Drive to Survive doesn't need to cover any races, and will still be one of the best season recaps!

Mercedes is insane if they think they can sign Max just based on salary!!!! Max wants to win, and Mercedes is done being competitive for the foreseeable future in my opinion !!!

The only smart move I could see from Max wouldn't come for a few years. If Lewis wins a championship in a Newey designed Ferrari and not Charles, Max could try to slide into Charles' seat. Ferrari could also not care about Charles getting beat by his almost 40 y/o teammate cause they would be back to winning, why spend an outrageous amount of money on Max.

Awesome! I am very excited to see where this goes. One thing I am sure of is that change is coming, if not already here!

All this talk of Newey and Hamilton, but have we forgotten about Leclerc? Isn't he supposed to be the shining light of the Ferrari team?

Got nothing against Leclerc, but he has shown time and again that he doesn't have the consistency that the top top top F1 drivers do. Hamilton has. Leclerc probably beats him in qualifying, but come race day, Charles will make mistakes

I'm confused? I may have miss heard/read but I was under the impression both Red bull's and adrian Neweys "Official response" Was that Newey is stepping back from F1 to focus solely on the upcoming Red Bull hypercar. However you say in this video Fred Vassuer and Adrian Newey have ALREADY signed for the '25 season? Which is the most accurate statement?

Why get out of his non-compete if he wanted to take a step back? Would be easier to just accept the non-compete if he didn't want to compete. My understanding is that for 2024 he will step back from F1, finish off the RB17 hypercar, and then be free to go wherever he wants from January 1st 2025

I am a big Ferrari fan so I would like to see everything feeling in place like it must be for Ferrari .

Ultimately this will be good for us the fans to see competitiveness on the sport....

Could be an interesting combo if Ferrari can utilize the people they are bringing in to their fullest potential. But it's Ferrari and no offense to the Ferrari but it's not been their strong suit historically.

Ferrari will be getting a great designer but they still short a Michael Schumacher. Verstappen AND Newey at Ferrari now that will work.

Most of the unrest you talk about is media generated. Knew we leaving has nothing to do with any unrest the man at 65 years old.

If Newey actually took that interview by Horner in that way, I feel like Newey is a total egotist and very insecure even though he’s been praised up and down the paddock and by Horner many times over. “The man can see air” on literally the biggest piece of media F1 has ever produced. It was obvious that Horner was praising the work of those under him rather than trying to fluff up Horner’s feathers.

You need 3 things in F1 to become a champion in the modern era...the best team, the best car, and the best driver. I don't think Ferrari will have all 3 in 2026. There isn't an 8th world championship in Hamilton's future. I may be proven wrong but I highly doubt it. And it remains to be seen whether LeClerc has what it takes to win his first. Both are excellent drivers. I'm just skeptical of one's consistency and the others' ability.

I just don’t see the Ferrari dream team delivering, Lewis is washed up & I guarantee ground effect gets banned for 26 moving forwards. Leaving Ferrari with the biggest wage bill in the world for people that were once masters at a craft that has passed them by. Only time will tell 👍🏻

Ground effect isn't going anywhere - if anything they will move to active suspension and make it more potent. It did the job of increasing close racing, and F1 would have to be dumber than I could have ever imagined to move away from it.

It’s not Newey’s ability to “design” cars that makes him so great (Though he is a great designer). It’s his ability to dissect and interpret the rules. Most of his championship winning cars benefited more from how they performed within or beyond the confines of the rules. Therefore…. Whatever team he goes to…. If he goes to a team… will benefit greatly.
