What other mods for the cruze??

I did a muffler delete and KN intake on my 15 rs and i love it. would HIGHLY recommend. its not too annoying and cruising at 80 you cant hear it so for road trips its not obnoxious.

Did you get a check engine light with the cold air intake? I put one on yesterday and now my cruze is running lean

Thanks for talking about this mod, I watched your vid two weeks ago, and got lucky last week and being in cali there not legal to have this intake, but I got lucky and found one brand new on Facebook market for $200 bucks. I finally installed it last Saturday, super happy with, getting 45 mpg on cruise with it, when I was only getting like 36mpg. the sound it makes turns heads every where, hearing it sucking in air is badass when I first start it, cant wait to do my exhaust next.

Sounds good, Im e85 trifecta tuned and full bolt ons and I'm making about 200-220 ish I have my gtx turbo, cams, springs and studs ordered as well. I wanna run 12s. I always have a bumper exit exhaust. Car looks good bro!

after rewatching, the valve tapping is twice what mine is. I'll wait until they make a tune for it.

Man I saw one of these one the road and didn’t know exactly what it was but I heard their turbo fluttering so I raced them and was disappointed at how bad I gapped him 💀

The tow hook i have actually came with the car. Check under the spare tire in the trunk and you should have one laying there!

Maybe a 1-2 mile decrease. Probably just from driving it harder haha

I've got a 2018 Chevy Cruze LT RS... the upgraded exhaust you can get through the dealership, is that comparable to the exhaust system you have? I plan on getting that same intake myself. How much did just the tune cost you? Thanks!

Unfortunately the shop will have to sand a notch in my bumper for it to come through thanks to the RS Appearance Package. On top of that I'm get an AEM Cold-Air Intake as well. At some point I want to replace the Turbo and tune it. Unlike you, I have the Sedan and not the Hatchback.

It's just the air recirculating back into the turbo. Cant put a atmospheric blow off on these cars, unless you get a tune. And BNR gives you 60hp more, on your 150 at stock. In heavy heat, you will lose a lot of power with the intake, as most intake are not cold air but short ram. They market them as cold air just to draw attention to them. The computer will reduce timing to prevent knock, as high heat can cause premature detonation. So with just an intake you probably lose a couple HP. It's more of a "supporting mod".

Also did you get the check engine light when you installed it?

It won't cause a check engine light to come on. I recommend not leaving a cold air intake on these for that long. If you do wanna pay for a new headgasket

You need a small hood scoop directly above where that intake filter sits.

I have the same exact car and it’s a hatch as well. Except mine doesn’t have the redline edition. Do you just have the AEM intake or do you also have a modified exhaust to make it sound like that?

I only have the AEM cold air intake. I use to have K&N on my old 2011 chevy cruze but the new model cruze that I have now has an insane blow off sound. I like keeping the cars exhaust quiet for when I am going a little fast haha they can't hear me!

@@Badmike636 Best way to instake the AEM intake is to Disconnect the NEG battery cable before install your AEM intake and you Wont be Trigger any check Engine Light UNLESS you didnt tight the clap hard enough that will be trigger the Check engine light. BUT over ALL take your time to install step by step you should be good mike bishop. CHeers i have an 2017 Chevy cruze 2017 LT RS with AEM intake No check engine light

Be careful, the Cruze will get hungry. When the #1 piston gets eaten by the car, they will pull the pcm/ecm and see a tune. With other mods they can void also. New engines are not cheap.

Around $400

Be aware with bolt ons my dude. The motors on these have cracked piston problems if tampered with. Piston 1 cracks. Your better off keeping your warranty. A youtuber did a bit of mods with a tune and he was out a car(Downpipe, BNR tune, catless exhaust). It was bad. Make sure to get your cruze checked out before you decide to mod. I have a 2018 Cruze LS 4 door sedan Automatic and decided to keep it stock for now until or if they decide for a recall. Until then, i decided to trade it in for something else or keep it and get a Speed6, a miata, or MR2 for Autocrossing purposes.

Look, I had my 2017 Cruze since November 2017, I’ve done loads of stuff with it, like Uber and road trips, and I’m pushing 50,000 miles on mines I bought mines brand new and I purchased the BNR tune around 5,000 miles and I haven’t had a single issue with mines. And I have full bolt ons, downpipe, k&n intake, fully straight piped with a magnaflow muffler.I’m not going to lie I was really scared tune after watching those KZread videos of that guy frying his pistons. I don’t know what type of oil he was running or if he used 93 octane. But I change my oil every 3 thousand miles on the dot with Royal Purple(make sure its Dexos oil!) with fuel system cleaner and mostly do my own maintenance. The only major thing I done so far was a transmission fluid change and breaks are coming up soon but she runs like a dream. Idk maybe some models came with bad motors, but if your boosted or tuned in any car, you should always use the best fluids

The bad about these cars is that it won’t tell you that an oil change is required until around 30% oil life! Mines is dam near dark around 65%! (Around 3,000miles)Tuned or not tuned.

@@TheCarCrazyGuy it did? What revision was it because 3 friends with cruze lts and 1 with a preimer hatchback had to take theirs in with 10k or less. All of them were 2018s. Mine is the only one with no problems and its stock with 15k+.

@@darkvador55 im actually thinking of getting a few bolt ons myself now that i hit 15k on mine. What do you suggest first? Ive already did a good pair of tires on stock rims(LS trim didnt get the same tire specs as lt and up trims) and regular PM things already. Im thinking downpipe, catback exhaust, CAI, and tune of course but what do you think is a good start?

That’s not a blow off, that’s a cold air intake. If I recall correctly, I don’t think the cruze has a blow off valve

@@MRMILLENNIALOFFICIAL you Can get the Flowmaster 817762 - Force II Stainless Axle-Back Exhaust System i have it on my Chevy Cruze 2017 LT RS but not Redline edition also i got the AEM intake installed Sound like you said its Loud an Sweet Tone. OR you can go for Cruze Hatchback 2017-2018 Axle-Back Exhaust S-Type part # 11943 thats Borla Exhaust. its all depends how much you want to spend for an exhaust for me i like the Flowmaster sounds good.

A simple way to make it flutter is to unscrew the factory filter box, move it to the side and it flutters

Why is all I wanna know? 😂 A stock Focus ST that was 19k off the lot, or even a Fiesta ST would kill that thing.

@Yeah Right not a fiesta, I had a focus st that I bought brand new in 2017 for 19,200 US dollars. Sticker was 26 but ford had 6,000 off that summer and I managed to get the dealer to do a hair better because I was working with 2 dealers.
