Ah, I hoped you'd take the burgundy skirt, too - it looked lovely as a dress! You could've just worn a belt over it. As for the white blouse - it looks fine as it is, however I am a fan of rolling up the sleeves of such blouses once or twice, it ends up looking a little more prim I guess? You can just stitch them up with a couple of hand stitches at the side seams if they don't stay rolled up. I looove the black dress 😍 I'd gather the mid neck down the centre(with some elastic or just a regular thread) for that slinky 40s look with either a v or a sweetheart neck, but that might feel a bit more evening if you're not used to it. I like your other idea, too, though. Or you could make several simple darts around the neck to make it a boatneck and add a white lace collar. I feel like that dress has infinite potential 😆

ah I wish but it was way too big for me unfortunately, it looked smaller on camera but in person it looked way too big, yes I might roll them up a bit but I actually don't mind the length when I was looked back at the footage, it looks nice ! ahh so many great ideas for the black dress!! I agree there are so many options and there is so much I could do with it ! I really want to explore all options before making a decision

I also collect Bears 😊 I have Some big Bears from Steiff vintage style and Charlie Bears. ❤🐻 The two evening dresses are beautiful! 🥰

Loved all of your finds!! 😍😄 And those dinner dresses are STUNNING on you. The V-neck adjustment for the black dress was nice because it made the dress look more like a dinner dress. But taking up the neckline would make the dress more versatile to be both casual and formal.

For the neckline of the black dress, first option is better!

Yeah looking back on the footage I don’t think they look that long ! I think it’s because I’m not used it it lol most of my short sleeves are shorter

Finding vintage pieces at the thrift store makes my heart smile !! Haha I’m trying to use the items I have more instead of stuffing my closet up again 😂 my style has changed a bit since the pandemic so I ended up buying a bunch of new things

I COULDN'T LEAVE THEM BEHIND!! they were so cute! haha I still have to try the outfit on the bear but I think he would look amazing in the sailor outfit. Thank you so much that means a lot 💕 I can totally relate! I'm surrounded by people in leggings and sweatpants. I was hoping the pandemic would make people want to dress up more because we were locked up at home but it seems like its had the opposite effect. I wish we could all hang out and get super dressed up 😭 it would be so fun

What is your opinion of shoulder pads from the 1940s?

I'm not a fan lol..I find shoulder pads to masculine for women's clothing. I don't think its very flattering on me haha it looks nice on some people, but in general I don't like shoulder pads

By now you are probably married as this video is 2 years old. But if you are still single you need a hope chest if you don't already have one. You can tuck those great once in a lifetime finds in your hope chest for later.
