Hit the bell so you dont miss the Xmas giveaway coming soon.
Now For People that want to help support the channel without donating can do so simply with a bit of time so i tell them by allowing the ads to play through this will help out a lot and that’s how I make a bit extra revenue and the good thing is more revenue means more giveaways👊🏻😄. A better way to support the channel is play one of my playlists on your computer before you walk away from it and let it play through that really helps as well but don’t ever feel as though you need to watch the ads if you don’t want to simply skip them and move into the video it’s completely up to you and I understand if you don’t have the time to do so👌🏻and like I always say if you like the rings shown and used in this video be sure to check out the description where you can get 20% off the already discounted rings using my code and if you want to try your hand at melting yourself you can buy the burner on its own or the whole furnace set up and I can organize a 5% link for you off the total furnace price just email me on bigstackddddd@mail.com 😁👍🏻.

HOW TO MIRROR FINISH A BAR
I start with an 80 grit flap disc on my angle grinder then I use my drill with 50 mm round sanding discs . I start with 150 grit then go through the following Grits 240-400-800 Then once I get to the following Grits I use a small squirt of WD-40 1200-1500-2000-2500-3000. The WD40 helps to lubricate the discs and stops the sanding disk binding up with the metal powder . Then after that I use my buffer wheel on my bench grinder to get a perfect mirrored finish on it??????.
****************************************************
STEEL FOR MY FRIEND
I keep all my steel and cast iron pieces and I give them to my friend and once he gets about a tonne from me and his own collecting he takes that to the scrapyard and sells it then he buys some beer and comes over to my house and we make a night of it.
No My friend doesn’t have a KZread channel he just scraps metal in his spare time.

Hey guys once again Friday is here, as it’s Halloween tomorrow this is a Halloweenie type casting where I attempt to do a life-size evil skull some Nordic Gold ghosts👻 and some Nordic Gold Coffins⚰️ from a new mold that I’m using. I’ll be melting down 2 folding aluminium bike frames so Nothing too fancy but I needed 3 furnaces running for the skull and I underestimated the amount of aluminium I would need so next time I attempt this I’ll definitely need 4 furnaces running. To support the channel let the ads Playthru or play one of my playlists on your computer when you walk away that helps out the channel big time. and as usual don’t forget to hit the bell as I’m gonna do a Christmas giveaway but I honestly have no idea what I will do this time🤷🏻‍♂️. And if you want extra pictures of the dogs or upcoming videos be sure to follow me on Instagram that link is in the description😁👌🏻. And have a happy safe weekend and see you all soon. 👋🏻

A quick way to get a good estimate for mass of aluminium needed in this instance would have been to do a water displacement. Fill a bucket to the absolute brim, make sure its in a larger container and try and submerge the head completely without causing too much additional displacement with your hands or a tool. Collect the water spilled in the larger container and weigh it. For aluminium you would need 2.7x mass of the weighed water add like 20% on top to be extra safe for various losses (slag and spills etc)

Right? Looks almost like the fused plates of a real skull. With a tilt technique during the seperate pours, maybe with the mold in a vice on a ball joint, you could probably replicate the actual placement. I ment that strictly theoretically, that could go wrong in a big way.

As much as watching the metal melt is mesmerizing and watching the pouring is utterly cool, I find myself completely fascinated by how to make a mold.

Very cool seeing three furnaces going at once. The melt was great. The skull turned out well, it looks like something they would dig up in a grave. The ghosts and the coffins were fun. The dogs at the end were a laugh thanks for that. Have a good weekend, cheers
