Also instantly completing Bazaar burglary. I could actually see the quest working if it only takes one 1 mana card to complete. Or at least, if this doesn't make it work somewhere, absolutely nothing will.

I feel like all these 'pack' cards would become a lot more interesting and fun if they put "They cost (1) less" on them

I can't believe they were printing Rocket Hopper with Shroomscavate in the pool giving shaman access to cheap wind fury. Turn 6 20 face damage is kind of tilting in standard

I see a lot of confusion on azerite murloc because it uses ALL. The major distinction between azerite murloc and doomsayer etc. is ALL followed by YOUR MINIONS, which means all of your minions wherever they are. Because otherwise why capitalize all? there a lot of board wide buffs that just say all of your minions no capital all, but they wanted to fit the text nicely without saying "wherever they are" so they capitalized all. Now every other time ALL is used, it's like wave of nostalgia where it just means all minions on board, since they don't want to write out all of your minions and all of your opponents minions as that takes up a bunch of real estate on the card as well. Generally hearthstone uses shortcuts like these to simplify cards that could otherwise have super long card descriptions, hopefully how I wrote that wasn't too convoluted or anything.

Rocket hopper and the Murdock makes me want to play big shaman, where I shall play enough stuff that the opponent wants to target removal that they run out of target removal and I run away with the game

Hopper is a slight buff to pack the house I guess. Also murloc growfin is completely outshined by 9 mana Zilliax.

zilliax *is* a legendary, so that makes sense.

I happened to evolve into Hir'eek in arena the other day. A fitting symbol of the 'mixed bag' that are legendaries of the past.

Growfin goes great in renoblock. Great 1 drop that gives a great shudderblock target for late.

Flickering light bot would be good in reno lists if the mirage gets fixed to not disappear when you play a mini card (i assume gigantify would also eat the mirage)

Twisted packs could also give you locations, hero cards, depression and diabetes

With rocket hopper you can go turn 8, hopper and Thorim to draw 4 and make your t9 completely free

I am pretty sure the Wave of Nostalgia could brick the opponents deck because of "ALL" whenever they have used the all capitals "ALL" it basically means everywhere where revolve used lower case "ALL". the twitter vid they showed would be inconclusive because the shaman didn't have a hand, and if the paladin had drawn like a King Crush or something it would be more conclusive in either direction.

@@moreregis then at the very least they should put the "ALL" to lower case, as we already have effects like Revolve, and Plague of Murlocs which effects the entire board, and just the board, and uses the word "all" (probably a day 1 patch for consistency to existing effects)

Overload is an okay mechanic. Its just borrowing manas.Also we still have that one overload ramp guy for 2 mana.(disciple of golganneth) Coin it out turn 1 and ramp frog to 3 mana turn 3 skip turn 4 sounds alright cooking to me

I feel like the 5 mana 10/10 should have "battlecry: deal 4 damage to all enemies" or something so theres more impact

As someone who's been playing a lot of Tess rogue, the Twisted Pack does not look very appealing to me at all. The main problem with all of these "pack" cards is that current Hearthstone has so many ways of drawing or generating cards that it's rare you ever have the space in hand to hold 5 additional cards, unless maybe you're a supper aggressive low curve deck. This is doubly true for Tess decks which already have so many better ways of generating cards from other classes. You very quickly generate a hand full of cards faster than you can play them, and the puzzle becomes "what can I play now that doesn't get me even more cards". Even many of the cards from other classes end up drawing or generating more cards. If the Twisted Pack has any merit, it may be that any cards you don't want from it won't get stuck in hand, but you still have to wait until late in the game to be able to play the cards you get, and having the hand space for it is still a problem.

a 0 mana 3/3 that draws a card/replaces itself is gonna see play in every paladin deck

Actually, the next expansion is water based, or rather beach based as showcased on the full year teaser art.

Wave of Nostalgia says "ALL minions" so that should mean ones in hand and deck as well, right? Typically the uppercase ALL seems to mean all cards everywhere.

Nah, doomsayer says ALL minions too, it's just capitalized to emphasize the effect hitting the entire board.

"ALL minions" has always meant both your minions and your opponents minions that are on board only. The only card (I think) that causes any confusion is the Azerite Murloc, but that card says "ALL your minions." So if it isn't affecting your opponent, you can infer that ALL means hand and deck in that specific context. Otherwise, the old rule withstands. In the Past, "ALL your minions" would have just been written as "all your minions (wherever they are)" but they probably just didn't have space to fit that text on Azerite Murloc.

Flickering Lightbot would have been good in a Libram meta but now hell no.

Hearthstone 2024 In an overload deck it is actually 5 Mana 10/10 wtf Top end of an aggro deck play it as a finisher, can smash through taunts for your other minions to go face, hits for 10. In a big shaman deck that can cheat things out, or revive, or copy minions it's great.

Honestly not even that many fewer views here. Deck videos were immediately doing 30k+, which is about what I'd expect over there. The real test will be how we do through an entire expansion cycle, the. I'll have more good data. But yeah, Snap is doing well there. I'm getting 70k+ for most videos. Pretty much the #1 Snap channel by views and one of the few going up in views.

No one said it did. If you add 5 cards to your hand, then use Gaslight Gatekeeper to draw, you'll get 5 extra cards because your hand is now 5 cards larger.

Wait…so Rocket Hopper can be discovered off that Paladin spell that discovers and summons a 5 cost minion with +1+1 or a 1 cost with +5+5??

Been enjoying these reviews regis! 1 note I have that you(not just you) say a lot is how much you focus on the stat lines of early game minions, and while thats a fair way to review a card, i believe you put far too much value on the stat line nowadays. Lots of Decks play understatted minions just because of their effect

I agree with your conclusion, but I am not sure which early-game minion's effect from this mini-set has warranted having bad stats? The only effect I've thought was good was the Demon Hunter Naga, and it had good stats anyway! Like the bomb shuffler, bad effect. Mage random spells, bad effect. Rock Paper Scissors guy, awful effect. Dust Bunny and the Druid bear have okayish effects I think, but maybe not good enough with their stat lines. The reason you may feel like I'm focusing on stats, is because I'm trying to find an excuse to defend the weak or mediocre effects. If the effect is weak, then you say, well maybe the stats are good?

I ain't even gonna lie to you when I typed my comment I was hours deep into watching Rarran's card review retrospective videos and i was hung up on how many people "falsely" put down cards based on their stats in the past. Again I appreciate ya and can't wait to use these new cards😃 @moreregis
