I found a39 carat ruby very similar to this in Franklin North Carolina about 18 years ago. It made a nice set of earrings and a pendant. Not clear crystal but nice color.

I have one exactly the same, with green crystal inlusions (jade), but three maybe four times the size, i think from Myanmar, bought in Laos. Just sitting on a sunny windowsill now. I'd never cut it, but I'm thinking about sculpting something maybe, possibly a pedestal for a quartz piece. I like the chinese tradition of carving where you do the absolute minimum cutting / carving in order to preserve the natural form of the material.

Yup this ruby doesn’t having good clarity but having good size of ruby in wine colour. Also can be red after heating

Man, do be careful, that blade is moving fast and you must focus on the sharp edges of that cutter, look at where your fingertips rest, your moving your fingers around, when you twist that rock, its just a rock, don't get caught up in the gem just to lose your fingers.

Yeah exactly such quality stones are best for cabs and one can get star on these stones but we just cut to fulfill local market demand

This ruby that you see here can not be cutting because its inclusions is not strong enough ,there are a lot of cracks. Therefore, it must be done using heat treatment and filling the cracks with various chemicals. To make the gems hard enough to be polished. Gemstone Market in Chanthaburi, Thailand, open on Fridays and Saturdays. Current prices for pink rubies faceting , on average, for all sizes, are as follows: 1. Transparent ruby with lead glass filled is 1 dollar per carat. 2. Ruby gemstone transparent type, bismuth glass filled is 2.5 dollars per carat. 3. Translucent ruby with silica glass filled , 5 dollars per carat. 4. translucent ruby gemstone, glass free , 7 dollars per carat. You should choose to buy gemstones that have the results of a X-ray fluorescent machine, which can take the gems to be examined at a laboratory in this gem market. In order to get the type of gemstone you want. Which you can buy in large sizes and in large quantities, such as 100 kilograms.

I have found nearly 100k carats of this type of ruby, I call them pink sapphires because they aren't "pigeon blood" dark red but still a nice deep pink. I live at the foothills of the Appalachian mountains in the United States and make cabochons out of them. Some I keep rough and wire wrap them if they have decent clarity

Стоимость всегда неоднозначная - всё зависит от размера(веса) , чистоты , цвета и качества огранки. Как видите на примере этого красного камня - это корунд , но не прозрачен , значит не рубин - его стоимость на добыче в отвалах может варьироваться от нуля и до 50-ти долларов за кг. Но если этот камень , что в руке был бы прозрачным это был бы фурор в мире и стоил бы десятки , а то и сотни миллионов долларов. Если этот камень имел бы звезду (эффект астеризма) то десятки тысяч долларов. А так это просто поделочный камень корунд. По алмазу или если по бриллианту если алмаз в один карат стоимость от 10 -150 долларов , если 5-ть карат - от 2500 до 5000 долларов , 10 карат от 20000 до 50000 долларов и так далее все ещё зависит от формы , веса , чистоты , цвета .. Если он бесцветный то и от рыночной политики как и у золота. Надеюсь ответил на ваш вопрос .

The color is really too dark and opaque for faceted stones. Cabochons and beads are what i would make of this material. But to each their own. And well cut stones all around.

Bro you cut it wrong way and also, that type of ruby will give a better luster if you make it as cabochon rather than faceted. Usually if polish into cabochon will be able to show the ruby's star luster.
