Yes this game can perform in very strange ways sometimes!

You may want to add a fire fighting outfit equipment in the hallway before the engine room, because if those engines are on fire, the fire hoses look to be well inside the fire damage zone. So you could die trying to use the hose.

how about a portable emergency backup generator? just in case if your boat runs out of power or for other things. you should also build a ballast tank in for stabilising

That's a cool idea! I have one which I could modify for this build. Although as we are now out at sea, I won't be able to change anything until it gets back to a workbench. If we get some power issues, I'll look into this for the future. Thank you :)

About a year late, But I just recently found the game of stormworks. Therefore, being a newcomer to the game, I enjoy these vids! Thanks for the grate and fun content. Im still a bit shady on building, and every time I try to youtube it, everything is different lol. So therefore its not much help. Nobody is making vids anymore for the newer stuff such as the gearboxes and things of that nature. Nice tanker btw. Hopefully one day I can build something of that sort.

Hey J C! Thanks very much for watching this video :) Yes I know what you mean about building in Stormworks. It certainly is a steep learning curve that I never got to the end of lol. Apparently the game will get some big updates this year and next year too, hopefully they can make it a bit more friendly lol. We'll see what they can do. Yes that's a very good idea, my big engines do drink a lot of fuel to keep it charged. I might add this when we get it back to the workbench :) Thanks!

@@MrSticksman I did notice you added a breaker between the between the batteries and drive motors for some extra speed when necessary, if im not mistaken you could use the large drive motor generator to very rapidly recharge your main batteries when stationary. Or, use it to recharge another creation that has dead batteries. But a small engine would be very fuel efficient and should provide enough electricity to keep the batteries up.

As a suggestion for the next series you should get viewers to build parts of the boat for you like a mini competition like for example, give measurements of the ships for the likes of a crew quarters, crane, helm area etc

Yes good point! Anchors would be a great addition to the game. Maybe 3-5 different sizes/weights/strengths. Great as a functional piece but also it would be a nice visual feature too. Thanks so much for watching the video :) 🙂👍👍

@@MrSticksman Apreciated i needed that luck! Struck the dock upon reversing out of the harbor which nearly caused the ship to capzise. That and some doors that were conveniantly still open, managed to save it though, am now enroute to my sell point.

@@MrSticksman before You move to next destination search castle island with that fast boat of Yours.. wouldnt it be better if You picked crates up by using a fast deployable fast boat.(.can't remember the name of your fast boat project )...sorry.. but the big boat could stay on course and You collect by using a really fast boat.. You can easily catch up with Your barge (Main boat)... Attach it on the rear/FAST deployable without use of crane (crane is slow)

@@TheBubbarox yes all good ideas! I was going to put it on the stern but I was having problems with the physics and ended up having to use the bow instead. As you say, the crane is slow and so the crates are best collected by going straight to them or swimming. I will see if there is time in the next episode to crane it in and check out the castle island or something else like that :)

Yes I agree, strangely the barge is much faster than the mini wolverine lol. I can increase it's power a lot but it does instant backflips haha. So I have to limit the power a lot. On the plus side, it can get to the arctic on only 187L of diesel :D🤘😎🤘
