People that have never kept sharks often say that. The nose is from running into the coral and it does heal within a week. That shark is in a 20,000lt tank now.

that is not a pilot fish, its a remora or shark sucker. pilot fish do follow sharks but they are usually found in open ocean.

For a 800 gallon, the best would be some sort of dogfish, these sharks are small and don't require a gigantic tank. For example, spiny dogfish.

Personally, I wouldn't put a truly pelagic swimmer in an aquarium, that's why most fish available for aquariums are middle-bottom dwellers (benthopelagic), they haven't evolved to swim for far distances, and prefer to live in calm and well-settled waters, or even self-made territories.
