I`m slowly building a food forest and keep several months of emergency food stored. My relatives nearby think prepping is "crazy." The thing they hate the most is my emergency solar power which took years to accomplish and still needs upgrades, but it works and can power my window AC, freezer, and cooking. I saved for a year to get over a dozen fruit trees to plant when it warms if my nephew will help (I have a failing inoperable neck) and I upgraded my solar cables to 40 amps. I made friends with a crazy wild bunny during the drought last year so I had to get a cheap plastic bunny fence. With some creativity I think I can effectively set it up but it won`t be a pretty sight. As long as it protects my vegetables I`ll be happy. She has developed a taste for radishes, beans, lettuce, and everything else, apparently.

If you are on a tight budget, place cut off bramble around your fruit trees. Should help keep the bunny out. Raw Wool on top of small fruit trees should protect against deer. Watch KZread on how to propagate shrubs and grafting trees. It's really not that hard and actually quite fun to do. Best of luck! Greetings from a fellow food forest farmer 😊

EVERYONE laugh at me and made fun of me for YEARS until the pandemic hit , until gas was $6 per gallon. I live 100% off grid with solar to run my entire house & shop including water pumps , AC , ect. When no one could find toilet paper , I had 1 roll short of a 37 year supply. I have since moved across country , and I'm building another Homestead.
One of the main reasons we bought a freeze dryer - to get ready for retirement!!
Thanks for the update. Saw a couple of items to ad to my PREPS. Being a Single Vietnam Vet, I'm always looking for ideas. You are a welth of knowledge and help.❤❤❤
❤️. Thank you Jara for the great tips and tricks
1 can drained Seasoned cabbage,2 cans of diced potatoes (drained) and 1 can corned beef into a hot oiled skillet. Season to taste. Delicious hash!
Always look forward to your Sunday posts with my coffee!! Am a lifelong prepper but found Thrive life through you and I love to see the products you find!!
Love your hauls. Amazon subscribe and save is the way to go.
I really like the jacket and backpack!! Thanks foe bringing us more great ideas!
I grew up on the canned zucchini in tomato sauce and still eat it today. We have eaten some of the Margaret Holmes goods too. When I was single and very poor I used to buy it at the local Dollar General.
Loved the coat and it wasn't as expensive i thought it would be!! Score!!
Good prepper haul.❤ Lots of good products and ideas for multiple uses.
Great haul Jara!! Thank you for sharing😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Iove Margaret Holmes. Really good seasoning!
Thank you for the information. ❤

You can also text me any time at 207-762-7138 😊 We can chat about getting started and I can answer any questions you might have, I LOVE talking jar meals with anyone that's interested! 😬😬😬❤️❤️❤️
❤ love it
Great info, Jara!
You always have the most unique and thorough preps ❤
❤Good info!
I love your videos.❤
❤ I’m freeze drying a lot. I plan on doing some more pressure canning, I kinda got lazy about canning when the freeze dryer came. I have some chicken and some salmon to do. Just need to decide whether to FD or can 🤔😉🤔😉
To my understanding with the freeze dry food if you open the can and repackage it within 24 hours you only lose about 6 months of shelf life
❤
I love the seasoned cabbage
I loved that you showed us survival items you bought as i do not have time to search those things out so it was really nice to see the different items. After your video i ordered the nitecore flashlight that is perfect for me. Keep those type of things coming or even review your favorite items and tell us why so we also may purchase them.♥
I'm a retirement prepped!
❤ let me know if you come down to Cocoa Beach. I live near there!
Good morning young lady how was your valentines day thanks for sharing you are always giving me new ideas of food to stock and things to purchase have a fabulous day dear❤ God bless you and your little family from your friends and fans in coosbay Oregon stay safe and warm and well and well prepared 💯👍👍🏕🪵🛢⛽️
My mother just moved to assisted living.
Loaded to the 🚗 ceiling 😲😄😂
Love the heated coat. Lots of nice things.❤
I have one of those brown sugar keepers- the terra gotta disk gets mold on it. I don’t use it wet anymore. Ironically, I just put my bag of brown sugar in it yesterday after letting the disk dry out for weeks and the disk fell and broke. 🤷🏼♀️
❤ Need more cat litter. It goes so fast
The squash with Vidalia onions was tasty, the seasonings were different from what im used to, but still good. Alao liked their butterbeans.

Love their butter beans!!!
I love crema- you can dilute it for milk
Jara, do they do a heated jacket that would fit Rob ? I have found that most of this style of thing are only made for smaller people. I'm 6'4" with a 60" chest and finding stuff like this is a non starter 😞
I have found the Amazon basics batteries to be underpowered. I was talking to a man that does maintenance on stairlift chairs and he said he always tells people that use the Amazon batteries to replace them as the first troubleshooting option.
Well if I could stay healthy, I am trying to make up some MIJ😂❤
On the folding backpack...is the orange clip a whistle?
I l❤️ve your hauls. You always give such good ideas! Things I don't think about (or even know existed🤣).

💖 what a haul! Our preps are pretty good- but we continue to work on them. I was telling my hubby is basically my hobby haha. 😂 I’m super curious about the canned squash and zucchini.
I’ve noticed over the past month that wet cat food supplies have been very hit or miss lately. I try to keep at least 3 large cases (60 cans) as a back up at all times because I have 3 cats that I give one can twice day to supplement their endless supply of dry food. I have no doubt that they will eat me, given the chance, if I pass away and they don’t get their food😳😱😂😂😂
I buy all my batteries with subscribe and save from Amazon, best deal out there.
♥❤ Very interested in the jacket! I never wear winter jackets, mainly because I figure the car has heat. But, Love the idea of keeping it in the car in case of a break down or any other reason. Really looking forward to your video on it. Thank you!
What size jacket did you buy? I freeze all the time and want one. But are they true to size. I am shaped like a pear and wonder if the waist to hoip ratio is correct.
What size jacket did you get? They are on sale for 99.00 Not sure if I want a medium or a large
❤my biggest hole in my preps is batteries, I subscribe and save many items thru amazon so I am glad you like the batteries. And I love the heated coat and need one of the power packs, so I love watching your reviews. Thank you for helping us to get set up. My husband and I are in our 60's and we need all the guidance we can get.
Love all the ideas! ❤️
My husband loves the Margaret House Squash. I also like their okra and tomatoes. I put a can of it in my gumbo soup. I have bought a few other things and found the brand is consistently good. 👍
❤awesome haul. I'm doing pretty well on supplies, but you've given some ideas I want to try. Thanks!
Hi Jara great haul !!! I’m really wanting to get involved with the thrive life… , and slowly I’m getting things stocked up. But it seems like as soon as I think I’m good, I’ve got to take care of something… house car…and I really need to replace all if the appliances and get plumbing work done again here. I’ve been buying bogo on pet food. I have about a year for the little dogs now working on stocking up for the cats. Also I only get things on a deal or bogo. Haven’t gotten coupons in a while, but I try & use digital ones when possible. I’m a veteran & it’s just me & pets. I’ve tried getting friends to work together on prepping but they’re not interested. So I do what I can and hunker down. Would like to be part of a prepper community. But in the meantime, I’ll do what I can while taking care of other issues. Please show the pets🥰 thanks again and ❤️ From Tampa Florida 🌴
🥰💖
❤ I’m in Michigan and started some seeds yesterday. I really like that coat. Love that it’s long. I drive bus for one of my jobs. I have a short heated jacket but really want a long jacket. Going to check this out. Thanks for all that you do. I love these hauls. It gives me great ideas.
❤ How much does it cost to be a consultant? Reoccurring cost breakdown? Website cost?

It's super easy to become a consultant! All you need is a starter kit (starting at $120) and this contains a great assortment of food to get you going. A simple online training earns you $25 in free credit. Getting your first customer sale earns another $25 credit. And there's a fast track program that can earn you hundreds more, so it's easy to start earning back the value of your kit. The only thing Thrive asks, is that after buying the Starter Kit, you place at least a $50 personal order once every 6 months. By placing an order in a given month, you are then eligible to earn commission for that particular month. If for some reason you can't order, you can go up to 6 months without placing an order at all before you would lose your consultant status. If you don't place an order, you just won't be eligible for commissions only in that particular month. You get a free trial period of the website with the starter kit (1 month on the $120 kit.) After the free period, it is $9.99 per month, but it's completely optional and many consultants do just fine without it. You can check this out: wickedprepared.thrivelife.com/becomeconsultant for a lot more info and to check out the starter kits. If it's not for you, that's ok. But if you're interested, I'd love to help you get started 😀 Also feel free to email me at info@wickedprepared.com or text me at 207-762-7138 with any questions or if you'd just like to chat 😊

First time I've heard of a pyramid scheme requiring a sale in a given month before a commission can be made. That's pretty terrible.
I'd love to know what brand / model that larger phone charger she showed was. And I would also love to know some specific recipes or ways to use that Nestle Crema.

@@wickedprepared I am going to join you….and try and come up with something. I kind of think part of it is the incredible packaging that gives them such a long shelf life….so….we’ll figure that out, too! They also say they don’t make you thirsty. That’s weird…since they’re the consistency of sawdust! 😆
As usual, great haul! I am going to check out those folding filtered bottles. Another sweet treat that you can make with the canned frosting (not the whipped kind) is fudge. In a double boiler, melt a 12 ounce package of chocolate chips and then stir in a carton of frosting until well combined. Pour into a greased pan and chill until firm. Cut into squares. I found that some flavors don't set as hard as others, so you may want to pour it into small jars and eat it with a spoon. I saw where some place sold their fudge like that and the packaging was cute. I'll see if I can find it. Edit: Not the same site, but similar is Island Specialty Sweets.
This is really awesome. I now have access to more prepper ites that are new to me. And bless you, all of that toilet paper, really smart. I love love love
Great haul ❤ I definitely need to get more freeze dried foods.
♥ Great video. I discovered the seasoned cabbage last summer. It is really good. I like to bring it camping and it is really good to make a quick "boiled dinner" type meal. I know you are from Maine also so you know what I mean by boiled dinner. LOL I like these haul videos. They give some really great ideas on new stuff to try.
I absolutely love the Margaret Holmes products. I was looking for canned cabbage when I found them. Sometimes I eat an entire can of tomatoes, okra and corn like a can of soup.

What brand do you have
Great video, as always. Wondering if you can offer some insight on how long instant rice, like Minute Rice, can be safely stored for long term use, or if it’s safe to do so at all? Would it be best to store it in Mylar bags or canning jars? With or with oxygen absorbers? Just thinking that if something happened and we were without power for longer than expected, trying to cook traditional rice would take much longer and use much more fuel/energy than using a quick cooking rice. Just thinking of ways to possible reserve fuel for long term use and it’s always nice to have other options. Thanks for any help.

We have both a freeze dryer and a huge garden every year 😀 But if there's one thing we've learned .. you can never have enough! Not to mention, in our garden we have a tough time growing ground beef, pineapples, bananas, pulled pork, yogurt, milk, cheese, sour cream, etc. And I'd have to figure many others struggle with this as well 😀🤣

That must have taken FOREVER! So much time goes into growing, pruning, harvesting, and then preserving. We typically grow way more tomatoes than I'd ever have time to process myself.. so I'm perfectly fine preserving what I'm able to, and adding to my stockpile by purchasing even more 😊 So don't feel bad! 😉💚 There's plenty of room for both 😊
