@@43johng I've got a really big red Texas cichlid he makes my 12-inch Oscar look really small never had a fish this big he's in a 75 by itself and I believe that too small for him but you said you're getting a bigger tank that's cool I've got one Oscar the 12-inch one beautiful red and he's in a 75 by his self and in my hundred and twenty five gallon I have full grown Jack Dempsey who's probably 12 in Long and he is really big one of the biggest Jax I've ever had a green terror and it regular Texas cichlid they don't do a whole lot of swimming for some reason I would put the red Texas cichlid in there but he really loves attention so he stays with us in the family room tropical fish especially Cichlids Are Awesome I've had them like 50 years
Good job on raising and rescuing the Oscars I hope they end up in bigger tanks though

Yes a 200 or 400 gallon tank would be good for them. But we all humans forget that no aquarium besides the state run aquariums that have a few hundred thousand gallons are actually anywhere adequate for fish. Even a simple goldfish deserves to have a giant pond to themselves. It’s no different than when you get a pet parrot or a parakeet and you keep it in a birdcage. They deserve the sky not to live inside your house but people do it anyways. So as long as you feed them well you have the right filtration and they are happy and healthy, then keep them as you will - because we are the keepers of this world - besides the fact that we are destroying it 🤦♂️😏
Unbelievable colors! That dude takes great care of his fish.

@@43johng Good to hear about the upgrade...that water looks tinted, just sayin'.
I had a 125 gallon tank and started with 2 baby Oscar's, male and female ... named Oscar and Meyer, a Pleco, and a baby Jack Dempsey. Once they started growing, the Jax went to a tank on his own. The Oscar's would eat out of our hands, but the Jax was always mean, mean, mean. He'd rather eat your fingers than whatever you offered him.
Beautiful fish, so glad they have been rescued... I really hope there for ever home is a WAY BIGGER tank. 💜
I forgot how big they can really get, I want to say around a foot long. Your gonna need a bigger tank. That's a great job helping others in need. Keep up the great work.

Hi bro good Video
Nice house and nice tanks man. Love those DIY stands. Can you make a video on how to make those stands👍
I just fall in love with these Oscar fish
Definitely goals
Your doing a great service to the hobby. Saying that, there are way way to many fish in that aquarium. 6 Oscars,3 catfish including a retail with 3 plecos in 75 gallon. I'm curious as to why the obvious question wasnt asked about basically a "Beta" aquarium. My opinion, your doing those fish a huge disservice, the bio lode in that tank is ENORMOUS with those fish. It looks like you just did a water, that will last for a few hours. I really hope that your planning on setting up a 220 or larger. Rescuing fish is awesome, good work.
Hey boss I just rescued a 12in oscar and jack both was in horible condition. I'm treating them with melafix and also feeding shrimp once every other day and pellets twice a day. Any tips on more I can do to help with the wonds and feeding
Did my first trip to 360 Aquatics and loved the place. Well worth the drive out of Pasadena.
I love my Oscars. I have 2 named movie (golden Oscar) and duesa (tiger Oscar). Something very important to think about when keeping Oscars is appropriate tank size is a must. Oscars are notoriously messy eaters and well the bigger the fish the more the biological waste. I clean my tank every day and change the water 3x a week. And if your someone who is particular with decorations you do not want Oscars. My fish rearrange everything in their tank. They have even broken 2 heaters on me by pulling them off their suction cups and repeatedly smashing them on the glass. They also get bored so you have to continuously introduce new elements to their tank such as fake plants, floaty things and balls to peak their interest. But they are worth it , so much personality and fun to watch what trouble they are causing now.
I think it funny, his Oscars won't eat floating pellets, but my two won't eat the sinking ones. Hahaha
Great job at rescuing! Is Icy an albino?
I want him to make me a stand lol.
Where did you get the terra cotta pots bro I've been looking everywhere for those specific ones
Heyyyyyyy!... wanted to comment on your channel and what awesome fish and hard work you have going on. On a more serious note, Im the proud owner of 2 Oscars named Dory and Lil Mk aka Mr Crabby. Dory my albino has been on the bottom of the tank now for today is day 6... I came home she was straight up and down chillin on her head. Then just fell over. Since then she hasn't ate and can't swim. I've tried the epson salt treatment with peas to try to relieve her for swim bladder, melatrex and last night performed the needle in swim bladder. Nothing has worked. I'm on outskirts of the D limited pet stores and vets that take in fish. I've lost all hope but she is at bottom still breathing and looking around. I find myself upset waking up and she's still alive. That sounds horrible but it's to the point I just want her comfortable and out of misery. BUT she hasn't gave up and I'm not going to on her. If you have any other suggestions I haven't tried or know someone in my area that can help I will take all the suggestions and opinions I can get.
"it's my therapy" realist statement ever

Nice
I imagine you probably already know this, but at some point them dudes are gonna need a MUCH bigger tank lol! I appreciate you looking out for these guys though. They are super smart fish, and are kind of like dogs of the fish tank world. I used to have 3 in a 75 gallon tank, and quickly found that it was a problem. Like I said, I’m sure you are aware, but for those that aren’t... these guys get big and get territorial AF. Be good to them and give them their space. Best wishes dudes!

Add more fish. I can still see water😂🤣
Awsome bro. I only had mine for a month. I feed him earth worms and meal worms
Where did you get those hideaways in the tank?? Love those!
Ayyye
Love the h-town gear comin from a spurs fan but I like it! Imma good sport 😁 And the fish. Amazing success story. Nothing short of astonishing. Wow. And I'm constantly hearing stories about red devils. They're tyrannical more solitary. They can do community tanks but have to be raised with the fish. Otherwise they'll eat them. Oscars can mix it up go solo or a community tank, but has to be with fish that can hold their own. You see he's got that red tail in there with the plecos. As long as their fed their happy! 🙂

What’s size take there in ??
Hi, my oscar is having a bloated abdomen, its the second time, initially when it got fat its released egg-like stuff n it turned normal, now its again turned fat and this time fatter than the last time. M really scared Please advice me as to what can be done plzz 🙏🙏🙏
I'm sorry IFG but those poor fish do need to be rescued again. 6 oscars should be in more like a few thousand gallons. They're bodies will be stunted but their organs will continue to grow! They are going to be in a lot of pain the rest of their lives in that sad little tank. One oscar needs at least 80gallons. But I do love watching your channel man!
If you try dubi roaches they will go crazy . They definitely need a bigger tank or separate some and put some in another tank. I have 2 feather fins and a pleco with 2 yearling koi in a 150 gallon and want to go to 400 soon .
happy fish happy home!
Notification gang!!
My goldfish earned it's name tribal cheif was a feeder fish that survived 5 piranhas attack
Hey how it’s going , just got a question I have 4 Oscar two of them is about 12 inch the other two is around 7 and 4 inch along with two pleco that are about 10 inch will I be able to house this fish forever in a 125 gallon

Well you don't because if you did love them you'd point out why he's killing these fish.
I’d love to see you get a wiki catfish or some less common fishys
All those fish are or will be TOO big for even that tank.
Oh wow lol he got a featherfin catfish like me!
Very clear water in each of his tanks
Yo that’s why I hate Petco, pet smart and all the big chain stores. They put Oscars, dempseys, and sometimes convict cichlids all in the same tank. So when inexperienced fish keepers go in and buy their first few fish and decide to go the cichlids route, they buy an Oscar or 2, Next time they go back they buy a Dempsey and a convict. All 3 fish Oscar, dempseys, and convicts are labeled as “territorial and aggressive”. Also again people say “oh that’s alright they’re in the same tank at Petco they must get along. NO FOR ANYONE WATCHING AND READING THE COMMENTS. Yes when they’re small they might get along and be ok for awhile but once they become bigger the dempseys and convicts are on a whole new type of a level aggressive. Oscars are labeled as aggressive because “they would swallow a smaller fish whole”. That’s not being aggressive that’s just the food chain. Oscars are like the puppy dogs of cichlids. I’ve kept Oscars for years and they’re not aggressive at all. Oscars can be good tankmates with other Oscars with sufficient sized tanks. If to small, they’ll most likely fight. So back to what I was saying just because they’re all in the same tank doesn’t mean they’re compatible with one another. Dempseys AND Convict cichlids are VERY AGGRESSIVE AND MUCH FASTER then Oscars. I know this is just my experience with keeping these fish. Other people of course could have had all the fish I mentioned living harmoniously with one another. Again, adequate tank size, feed them properly, water changes weekly at minimum. I do water changes 2-3 times some weeks. Proper chemicals, and filtration. One other thing I noticed is that Oscars kind of in a way have the same label as pit bulls have. Nasty, mean, and aggressive. Which is not the case. Most pit bulls are big mushes. Just because we hear about the bad cases on the news makes them bad. We don’t get the whole backdrop on what that dogs situation was so now we label them as aggressive and dangerous. Oscars kind of have the same label but again it’s not true. I just wrote a novel on here. I’m done haha.
WOW🤩
I feel guilty keeping my one Oscar in a similar sized tank ! Looking to upgrade him soon
Takes in abused fish. Very nice!!!
Have great weekend
Thank you for rescuing these cutie patootie!! Fish need to be treated like living beings not trash
My Jack Dempsey used to get beat up by my oscars to the point of having to put him in a smaller 50 Gallon tank Jack Dempsey’s got along with a Variety of fish like black convicts, African cichlids and tiger barbs. I fed my Oscar” pet store froze shrimp, pellets and on Occasion goldfish...I will quarantine the feeder gold fish in an10 gallon tank and condition and check for sick goldfish... if I found a sick one I Euthanized with a small jar with water and clove oil, quick and painless. If anyone ever feeds their oscars goldfish make sure there not sick
He gots some nice fish tanks that big female Oscar is dope

There still in a small tank !!! Gotta get a bigger tank for them.
Yo what size is your oscar tank and how thicc is the glass mayn ??
What tank size do you recommend for two-three oscars? Can they start in a 65 gal for a couple-few months as juveniles until I can upgrade to a bigger one?
@pyromaniacalmagpie3198

They grow REALLY fast so it can be risky, if you can't upgrade the tank quickly enough for whatever reason, like if there's some emergency you gotta spend money on last second or something.

I'd get the bigger tank as soon as possible, cause then at least they'll still fit in the smaller tank while the big one is cycling and being set up :)
