Huge News! JCB's Hydrogen Engine will destroy the EV Industry!

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

The world is moving swiftly to green energy and hydrogen is an energy source that is exploding with promise and appears to be far more feasible than other zero-emission options, even though it is not as popular as Batteries. Hydrogen is well known for its fuel cells; however, the form used by an internal combustion engine is possibly not as well known. And although there have been prior attempts to create a hydrogen engine, JCB is the company that is pushing the engineering boundaries with this project.
In this video we share some of our findings concerning JCB's Hydrogen Engine.

Given the sort of heavy machinery that JCB builds, EVs simply aren't powerful enough to cut the mustard. This is part of the reason why they have developed the hydrogen combustion engine. Hydrogen is the long term answer.

Did Jesus tell you that? 'Cos last time I checked Jesus was neither a scientist nor an engineer. Hydrogen gas is profoundly rare on Earth. In our solar system, God has put nearly all the molecular hydrogen in the Sun (a sensible place), far away from Earth's atmosphere where it has a habit of reacting explosively with the very gas His children enjoy breathing.

@@mb-3faze there is a reason for hydrogen gas not being around. It combines with oxygen very freely making...water. Look around,we have water all over the place. If you release hydrogen it will find itself some oxygen very quickly. That is what happened to the Hindenburg. They had a leak.💥😵🙄

I do HOPE it's hydrogen/electric--- with hydrogen operating the electric motors on each wheel like trains. That would gove FAR more mileage, longer wear, moire power, and much less fuel used at all and the ONLY output being WATER.

Finally I stopped the video as it is more a blatend commercial for JCB then an actual review of balanced pro's and cons of hydrogen as fuel. I could have know within the first 4 seconds of the video as there already a misconception is launched but I wanted to give the maker some slack. Hydrogen as meant these days is not a energy "source". It is a transport method for energy. Hydrogen has to be made using energy. So it is only green energy when it is made by environmentally friendly sources like solar panels and wind or water turbines.

And you're point is? The objective is zero emissions at the tailpipe. JCB is a company so of course like Tesla they're promoting their achievement. JCB makes heavy industrial equipment that needs to be decarbonized and batteries can't solve their unique problem. Their Hydrogen "Diesel" engine can be the answer for immediate change to industries that want to go green but have no alternative. Ships, trains, tanks, trucks, dozers, excavator, farm equipment, mining equipment, and diesel electric generators all have duty cycles that can't be serviced with batteries. So your complaint is what, that they were first to do something about it or how they mischaracterised the function of hydrogen? Gas, Diesel or Hydrogen all require the use of energy to make, refineries aren't run on magic. They received no government money, they're not known to the consumer market and need to promote to sell but their customer base is small so a mass ad campaign won't be economical. Name one thing you buy that isn't advertised, even vegetables make the weekly flyers. They'll use their dealers and sales reps and trade magazines but the potential for their technology goes far beyond their typical market. It takes content providers to seek them out and inform John Q Public on what they are doing. When was the last time you saw an International Harvester ad on TV 1970 what? They don't use TV because their buyers are working during the day, probably get up during evening commercials and they need more 15 to 30 seconds to sell their products.

@@IMGreg.. My point is that an advertsiment video is not the good place to gain information about something as there is no balance. For some reason Americans lost that concept completely as they are so used to commercials that even videos presenting as informational videos are received as 'normal' while the only goal of the video is selling a product.

A hydrogen vehicle is an even better way to die in an accident compared to a standard friction engine vehicle. A fossil fuel leak and combustion will give you plenty of time to realize you're going to die, where as with hydrogen, you will be with your maker in the blink of an eye (along with unfortunate bystanders - to whom you will, for all of eternity, have to apologize, for your ill-considered transportation fuel of choice).

Vehicles with fewer and more reliable working parts. Why would anyone wabt a complex andd expensive 'new' ICE that you can't fuel? Why use energy to create hydrogen then transport it to distribution points of which tens of thousands would need to be built? Nonsense, Hydrogen engines aren't going to take over anything.

There are now so many glossy, fossil fuel industry funded, videos being published now, all starting off with visions of wind turbines and PV panels and then the cut to a big shiny H2 container sitting in a field of grass. It's utter propaganda. The absurdity of using wind and PV electrons to create H2 (wastefully purified, compressed, cooled and transported for using in expensive precious metal fuel cells) or even worse, compressed and used in a ICE, is breathtaking. It needs to be called out every single time.
