Huge Neglected Garden Renovated Ready For New Tenants | Massive Job

Ойын-сауық

This large yard was in need of some major attention, as usual. It had been neglected for years by the previous owner, causing all of the bushes and trees to grow amongst, through and over one another, very overgrown in other words. The new owner, a property investor, asked us to thin it all out and make it ready for the new tenants. As you will see in the video, we did cut a few bushes back harshly, as they were growing out of the garden beds onto the lawn. It was a massive job, and it took us a solid 10 hours! This is the last footage I have of the all mighty Nick on file!!!
Workers on this job: George (long pants) & Nick (shorts).

FAQ's:
Q: Do you worry about snakes?
A: I have never even seen a snake in 4 years on the job.
Q: Where are you located?
A: We are from Hobart, Tasmania, Australia 🦘🦘🦘.
Q: Which equipment do you use?
A: We use mostly STIHL power equipment (battery and petrol) and commercial Honda self-propelled mowers.
Q: How much do the jobs cost?
A: Sorry, I prefer not to talk about costs!
Q: What happened to Nick?
A: Nick was offered a full-time position at his other job as a Political admin!
Q: Why don't you use tarps instead of cans?
A: Tarps are too difficult to move through small spaces and lift into the trailer. The same for wheelbarrows, they are only good for unloading the trailer!
Q: Why are the hot water cylinders outside?
A: I'm not really sure to be honest, maybe something to do with space & maintenance, but either way, it really is poor heat efficiency!
Q: Why are you cutting so close to your employee!
A: I'm not cutting too close to my workers, they are standing too close to where I am working! All of my workers have been told numerous times about standing too close to the tools and about the hazards involved!
Q: Why do your workers do all the lifting and carrying?
A: Basically, they are employed to carry things and I pay them well to do the job required.
Q: You work so well together, how do you do it?
A: That's the magic of editing. My workers are basically given instructions on what to do, I just edit it all out, so the videos look seamless!

I can't tell you enough how it does my heart good to see such a beautiful garden be brought back from chaos to order! And for any of you who think they did "too much" pruning, I should tell you that if this were my personal yard, I would have cut back many of those shrubs, where ever possible, another FOOT (to give the plants room to grow back yet remain within bounds)! Great work, Guys! Who ever rents this property is getting a real gem!!!

Now everything will flourish without fighting for light and nutrients. Nature naturally smothers plants to a sustainable environment for wildlife to keep in check but when it is in a domestic situation it has to be maintained quite harshly to allow it to thrive healthy. The rejuvenation these plants will go through in the next year or two will be so beneficial to them and so stunning to us too. Thanks guys xx

Having had tenants before there is no way any tenant on the planet would or could manage that property. They hardly take the time to mow. I always love the severe cutbacks you do to get the bushes back to human sizes. It’s always frustrating to watch other lawn guys barely trim off an inch or two from enormously overgrown bushes and trees. Excellent result.

Having BEEN a tenant on a property like that, I can agree with you...I NEVER did any weeding or garden bed pick up. The contract said the landlord would be paying for landscaping work so I took him at his word. It was a huge yard with huge, overgrown shrubs, trees and bushes and I never did any weeding or trimming. I figured that came under landscaping...

I was so happy for the little rose bush, and I bet the neighbours are stoked about that huge camellia being cut back - it'll let a lot more light into that window now. It was quite beautiful seeing the different shapes and textures of the various shrubs once you had trimmed them. I'm so jealous of your hedge cutters! I want them! It’s enjoyable to watch people who are so talented at their craft. No rushing, just doing an amazing job without worrying about rushing to the next job, which is an issue with so many landscapers in my area.
