My theory is that Costello told him he could create a circus--and that is what the orange buffoon wanted before HE would testify. But the judge showed "No circus here" and only THEN did he finally decide to take the Fifth. By the way, I don't think the good lawyer was in on this scam. I bet it was Costello's idea.

Debs was a Presidential Candidate (on the ballot for the Socialist Party) for the 1920 Presidential election. He was serving a 10 years sentence in an Atlanta penitentiary and badly lost the 1920 presidential election. The Court in recognition that he was a Presidential Candidate allowed him to to get up to date news and political information and to hold a press conference every week. Note that the "Farmer-Labor Party Presidential Candidate was Parley Christensen, and the "Prohibition Party" Presidential Candidate was Aaron Watkins. Republican Senator Warren Harding of Ohio won the 1920 Presidential Election by defeating Ohio Democratic Governor James Cox.

He's a liar and a scoundrel, a cheat and a swindler. But remember: The Defendant insists that he _only hires the best people._ And he hired Michael Cohen. He hired Michael Cohen to be his muscle, to be his pusher, to _fix_ the problems caused by the Defendant's most scandalous behavior. Michael Cohen is indeed all of the things the Defense has said he is. But he was _also_ exactly the sort of man the Defendant needed to do the jobs the Defendant wanted done. Those are the very qualities that got Michael Cohen invited into the Defendant's inner circle in the first place. Without them, the Defendant had neither use or need of Michael Cohen's services." Of course, the Prosecution doesn't need to actually say this; The Jury is already well aware that this is the case. But it'll likely be said anyways, because it's true.

But IF he's found guilty, he will immediately be taken down, pending sentence and then he will inevitably get a custodial sentence, so any appeal will need to be FROM PRISON. Cohen served 3 years for a lesser offence, so the Judge can't really hand down just a fine, as Trump was the instigator.

I have no idea where the legal basis is that different jurors can agree that different crimes were committed but not be unanimous on a single crime. That sounds very unconstitutional!

@@ritagreene8376 Don't honor McBonespurs with the rank of Corporal. Real corporals, actually serve their country in uniform, when their country called on them to do their duty. Trump wimped out when his father cooked up those phony bone spurs scam with a paid for doctor, so Trump could hide from doing his duty.
