Hey guys, I was the Nemesis! Thank you so much Otz for the commentary and analysis. To explain why I used Tentacle so much (way too much in hindsight lol) was because when I first started playing Nemesis, I had heard that you should almost exclusively be going for tentacle hits so I took that message and ran with it. Clearly to my detriment. Looking back on this gameplay is rather embarrassing, but wow- I've come far since then. Thanks again, Otz!

52:20 This irks me because even many content creators say Nemesis players should never M1. Glad to see Otz advise the player to simply M1 here. Generally, Nemesis players should do whatever gets the down faster but *especially* when the survivor is already infected. Edit: Just saw Otz explain this later in the video. Also, you can't go above T3. There is nearly no advantage to getting a down with M2 vs M1.

As someone who was on and off with DBD for a while but got into it more recently, I mostly just try to play for fun. If I'm not having fun, I shouldn't be playing. Whether I'm playing as a survivor or a Killer. And I feel like usually people are good sports. But every so often I go for Adept and don't have lightborn and suddenly that's when the universe gives me a 4 man flashlight squad who clicks their flashlights a bunch and then t-bag at the exit gate. But still, a little frustrating match or two out of every twenty isn't bad. Still love the game so far

Well I think for context it makes sense. Having only 100 hours could mean 50 survivor 50 killer. Or even if it’s all killer it could be like 10 different killers and that is 5 hours a killer. So I’d still consider people new at 500 if they have spent that time spread out. Dbd has enough variety to make it seem like an acceptable statement in my opinion.

Please make a 3rd ep, I love this series! I felt so bad for the Nemmy player cuz I get that same feeling a lot of the times wanting to use my M2, it feels addicting, but I agree, that sometimes the best thing is to just go for a Basic.

Yea this dbd channel is a must for Killers who get to a point where the skill difference starts to show, really interesting how much more fun Killer can be when you learn a little bit more macro gameplay. If you can learn to be good at a game like this and have fun even after the tilt then you win

25:34 speed boost with the lunge, and a straighter line of a fall rather than falling in an arc, which translates to a faster fall

You would fall at the same rate arc or not, unless there is some really weird shit happening with dbd physics engine that's just not how gravity works.

  • @elpabloeshue

Both are arcs, just with a different horizontal length, the speed of the fall (vertical axis) should be the same in both ways. Now, where I think there's a difference (and please correct me if I'm wrong) is that if you lunge to reach the edge faster you fall while on cooldown, but if you lunge on the edge you spend more time on cooldown after already having hit the floor, which I think may amount to an overall slower speed than the first method (also I'm not sure if the lunge speed boost gives you as much of a forward boost on air).

@@gustavo69er "would fall"? Very well, then, less arc means less distance to travel when you land, which is still making it faster to get to the survivor

Incredible how small the community can feel sometimes that everyone knows everyone. I’d love to have my deathslinger reviewed bc I’ve always managed to make irri every season but sometimes I wonder if I’m doing the most effective pathing/ perk usage/ pressure split. Good killer games though 🎉

Thanks again for the review, I catched it on stream! I'm not part of the video but it was at the same time as the oni and the knight game (I was the huntress). I will work on being more patient and stop using some add-ons, and I changed my build + tried Slinger, he's pretty cool to play as haha. Keep it up

I am starting to learn the Killers and invest all my saved up BP in ones I think are fun after doing 1v4 in bot matches. Practicing against Bots seems to be good practice for some killers because bots can be ridiculously OP againstg some Killer powers. I tried Xeno for the first time and enjoyed him quite a lot since I liked the idea of Demo, but never found Demo very fun because of his tedious his portal set up can be. Cenobite I found frustrating playing against bots, but as a survivor against Ceno it was fun having more objectives with the Box and Plaything, so playing as Cenobite gives some fun variety. Edit: I also just went against a Knight for one of my first times as Survivor at lower MMR (been away from the game for a few years but have about 900hours now) and the Knight was very oppressive and hard to get away from, but even with all the pressure our low MMR team had, we still managed to get 4 out of 5 generators done. Those last 3 gens were too close and he got that 4k due to one survivor giving him an easy pick in the basement.

So I’m gonna be honest here… The first time I saw an Otz stream I didn’t like it, and I even can aay that I wasn’t comfortable with the gameplay. Why? Because I was a little bit new at the game (and watching only streamers that play for fun) so camping or tunneling for me was a total NO and of course he camped a survivor that time. So I just left and didn’t come back for a long time. But I learned that sometimes you must camp or you must slug or you must tunnel because you can be playing a tournament or something like a streak or whatever (not me because I play for fun). So I started to understand Otz kind of gameplays and started learning from him, and oh god…. In this video I realized how much I have learned from it, Cause every mistake he pointed out, I noticed it before he did it, and every time he was like “we already know where everyone is” I indeed knew cause I learned from him to follow survivors pathing, actions and alerts. I’m a better killer and survivor thanks to this kind of advice, thank you Otz ❤

Just today I was playing with some friends and we got a Cenobite with the add on that doesn’t show the box and I was like, “let me get this my friends I know where the box is” and I guessed it everytime in that game because I learned from Otz how that box works and where does it spawn and now I can use that information as survivor and killer, thank you Otz❤
