that cable that you said has no earth pin,i does not because it is european type they have only two pins and can go in a socket both ways round but the earth connection is those 2 bars up the side or the plug and in eu socket ther are 2 holes for the pins and at 90 degrees from the pins are two prongs in the socket that connects to the two bars up the side of the plug. as i said the plug can go in both ways round of the two pins so live and neutral can be reversed all hollands appliances have no polarisation fixed not like i know from the uk?
