In this episode, we start our journey on one of Bangkok’s charming old buses, which is an experience in itself, offering a glimpse into the daily life of locals. Our destination is the lush and serene Lumpini Park, a green oasis in the heart of the city.
Upon arriving at Lumpini Park, you’ll immediately notice it is teeming with monitor lizards, making it an unexpected paradise for photographers and nature enthusiasts alike. These fascinating creatures, which can grow quite large, are commonly seen lounging by the park’s lakes and streams.
During my visit, I had the pleasure of meeting a fellow Brit who was also traveling through Thailand. We struck up an engaging conversation about our experiences in Bangkok, touching on topics ranging from the vibrant street life to the surprising presence of McDonald’s in such an exotic location. It was a delightful exchange that highlighted the unique blend of cultures and the shared experiences of travelers in this bustling metropolis.
