he said in the last video that he won't add the shield as regular minifigures can only hold one item at a time (can't do shield and torch at once) and he thinks the shield will clutter up the space for the spidermen to pose

At this scale a 1 tile tall & 1 stud deep gap between the statue's torso and lower body could be made as an approximation of the real life seam between those minifig parts.

You don't need to know minifig scale to calculate the height of the LEGO® statue, since you're literally building a Minifigure. Just *scale up a normal minifigure by 19.5* (the rough scale of the real statue to a human.) With the body height of the real statue being about 111 ft and the average height height of a human being 5.7 ft, the real statue is about 19.5 times as high as an average human, so you just multiply the height of a Minifigure (4 bricks without hairpiece) by 19.5 and you have the body height of the minifigure statue without crown *(78 stacked bricks or 2,456 ft).* If you scale up the crown and the torch by 19.5 as well, you get a Minifigure statue of the perfect scale. This way of determining the height of the model avoids every possible inaccuracy you had to deal with. By the way, if you add the crown, the entire statue should be about 23.75 times as high as a normal minifigure without hairpiece (or 22.8 with hairpiece) (almost exactly *3 feet* ), so you probably didn't consider the torch of the real statue being above the crown.

just a small idea, imo the statue of liberty is way too large. bringing it just a tad bit smaller to maybe 2.5ish feet feels it would look much better cause at a model of this scale, we wanna see the minifigures too. This, straight out the gate, is my favourite video on your channel so far. Heres a idea that why not insted of metal or wood support why not use duplo?

Just a tip: use duplo for the internal structure. It’s compatible with LEGO and uses a lot less peices

Don't know if it's late for this, i haven't finished watching the video, but for scale sake it maybe would be useful to use lego games for reference, as I'm almost sure in the LEGO Marvel Superheroes first game there's a lego minifigure-style Statue of Liberty, it maybe would be nice for the model idk Anyways, I just found your channel and I really like what you do here, thanks for the great videos man!

His failed design look a lot like the official lego set

Im a much bigger fan of the legoland-like brickbuilt statue of liberty model over a large brickbuilt statue of liberty figure (similar to the Giant Man in the civil war moc series), I think the legoland model built style makes it feel a lot more like a statue rather than a giant articulated figure as this would make it feel more like a character in the scene rather than part of the scenery itself. Additionally if the giant Sandman figure is gonna be built Similarly to Giant Man, it will need to contrast against the statue. The statue will need to appear more static in comparison to the sand man (which I'm assuming will be articulated), so that its very clear the statue is a structure and the Sandman is a living, breathing, moving character. Trust me, All of this makes sense in my head. Im not a crazy person.
