weird. I just started playing downfall again last week. They even added a couple new bosses since I last played. Amazing Mod! Feels official. Totally agree.

I'm on my first run with hexaghost. I love playing it. Guardian is nice as well, but giant slime isn't as nice to play IMO.

@@vicgaming5984 yea, the construct and the hex are my favorite ones of the bunch, they are all amazing but those just sing to me.

That 1 is very encouraging! I hope you enjoy it, Reto. I was part of the large team that put this together and I'm glad so many are getting to enjoy our hard work!

He's a retain exhaust card. No one uses him ever so he's always there

Thanks for covering this! They've done an incredible job with this mod. Modding StS is not too difficult, honestly. But the best content mods were Downfall and Hermit, which were just combined, as you can see. There are great quality-of-life mods, though.

I've been playing with this mod for years. The bosses are actually different for each act, so if you fight Ironclad on act one he's very different.

There actually is a "secret" final boss for breaking all 3 keys if I remember correctly. Also there are skins that you unlock by beating the game with the characters atleast once.

Please make a series out of it, absolutely loved it

But he hasn’t touched it or any of the other series i enjoyed for months now, and thus i havent touched a video of his either even despite how much i like him as a person. I'd love to see more Slay the Spire! You may even split the videos down the middle if they'll be all this long.

13:25 part of the reason is a lot of the cards for the slime boss are just altered versions of the iron clad's cards. The gimmick is roughly the same too, they both heal. not to say the haven't made a great mod with a bunch of creative ideas

I wish he'd taken the Slime Crush for the insane Necronomicon combo. That's 2x35 damage vs like potentially 9 per turn from slime thingie. Also what is up with the 3 colored keys? There are even slots for them in top left corner. What if you collect them all?

there is a relic named after Rhapsody, the guy that constantly covered this mod when it first came out, so i would not put it past them to add something in the future. (ps. it is the Rhapsody co. mining pick, its function is a joke at how he never could find the main gameplay gimmick for the guardian in his runs, like 3 runs in a row and he found it twice.)

Not sure how possible that is.. I'm not getting my hopes up. Maybe for xbox or ps5 (?), but idk much about how modding works on them so I can't speak to that. However, for the Switch I can pretty confidently say that it's borderline impossible. Unless it's made into an official expansion by the company somehow, and I can't imagine that happening. Nintendo is pretty restrictive when it comes to 3rd party stuff (and they're attitude toward modding in general is... not great :/) Which kinda sucks because the Switch is kinda the ideal console for this kind of game. Oh what I'd give for an active Nintendo homebrew scene again (like we had for the Wii)..

sadly for me, i have the game on gog, so not even basic mods for me

This mod is great but damn do I absolutely despise the guitar remix of the menu theme. I wish I could change that to the normal one because the cover hurts my ears and doesn't fit the feel of the game a single bit.

Agreed but "overconfidence is a slow and insidious killer" aka you wouldnt belive how many times i survived by 1hp in this game...

Main mechanic is overgineered and turns me off.
