Yes and several of the other stuff she left behind.

Raku is fired and removed from the kiln when still hot and placed in something with combustable materials to cool. When you add natural items like hair and hay and even fruit slices and copper they get fired onto the piece and make cool colors and patterns.

I loved that ashtray. I use them as trinket trays. Too bad you didn't get it. There's always a new way of using things.

The "Hutschenreuther" demitasse with the name "cut off at the beginning and the end" was a "Tirschenreuth" piece. The Tirschenreuth factory went into production in 1838, and was taken over by the Hutschenreuther company in 1927. That particular mark is from the Zehender factory, after 1940.

Loved that little brown and white pitcher! It reminds me of chocolate syrup on vanilla ice cream! Now I'm ice cream hungry! Lol. Of course, I don't have any.

Pretty sure that isn't the glaze, but a marbled or agateware technique where clays are blended together, then thrown...the resulting patterns are interesting.

I had lots of that stuff, several totes full. Always Luved partylite.

I'm having a hard time warming up to the brass, copper, etc. I feel like I got all the brass my mom didn't want when I got married and had my first house. I couldn't wait to get money to replace it all with different things at the time and now it's back. Lol not a fan yet! Great new finds as always!!

I still have a lime green balnce bird from when my kids were little, they are in their 30s now. Great video!

Your pronounciation on Hutschenreuther is almost there. The 'th' is prounced like a 't' and then you are golden.

The white satin glass antique vase was also used for candles on the mantle before there was electricity. There would have been two.

My family usually starts Christmas decorating inside in September. We drove to get my prescription earlier today and there was a house decorated for Christmas from top to bottom. Loved it.

I don’t decorate all that early but I start buying early, and always shop sales after. There’s Christmas stores that are open all year round

The way to.photograph clear glass is to put it in front of a matt black background whilst also standing on something black. You had some great finds today, the tiki mug would be a great pen pot, just turn the rough side against the wall. I love that you have a new friend to shop with too.

I have those exact Chinese plastic tea cups. I use them to hold my morning and nightly medications and it works great. Also use them to hold ketchup etc because they are small and fit nicely on a plate. Love ur videos and have been testing what I learn from you. Got a great lefton piece and a Bavaria Germany plate all for 4 bucks!!

Fire and Light- when it is that glossy, that is a big clue, and the weight- they are really chunky in feel- I too am obsessed on the hunt, after scoring one!

Omg.. the turtles😩

My fond memory of the dreaded white timer was timing my piano practice every day-I hated it. My mom was always off doing other things so I would shave 5-8 minutes off every session by turning it back a minute or 2 every so often! I was bad.

Well, all pottery is fired, isn't it? I think the main characteristic of raku is the oil-slick coloration on its surface. Love that plate, though--I always pick up things like that when I am thrifting.

The pitcher you took a look at is called an Apostle’s pitcher. They are quite dear. I have a small collection via EBay.

Those baby blue boxes are a brand called partylite and they have beautiful votives

The bookends look like Mondrian art. Unknown if they are associated without seeing the bottoms etc.

You should have gotten the transfer/hand painted dresser tray. It was lovely. I know you only like hand painted, but if done well some combo pieces are worth picking up. And that one was. I'd have bid on it.

Those hurricanes are great for creating Christmas floral centerpieces.

Go back for that Haviland piece. If the cup has a matching mark, it would be worth it!

I think shopping with you would be amazing! However; you would hate me b/c I CANNOT pass boxes without looking in them🤦🏼‍♀️ (unless it’s modern/original packaging obviously, lol)! But any plain, cigar or jewelry box I open, 🤣! You should all pick up little black light keychains so you can test pieces if you are at a shop or flea market! They make some that are really small, are inexpensive & some double as a really bright flashlight. I swear there was either a Japanese or Mexican vase about 6” in front of the turtles & what may have been a matching piece right next to the turtles. I’m know you would have picked it up if it had been, the pattern & color just looked familiar to me, (as if I know about anything except Roseville, Rookwood, Hull & Weller. That is what you learn going to flea markets, antique shows & yard sales w/ a mom who collects Roseville & you live in Indiana 😂)! I hope you are all having a great weekend! 💜🦋🙏🏻

There are also a set of candle holders & a salt/pepper that match the teapot! There are also 2 different sizes of sitting elephants that I have & LOVE! They have very mischievous looks on their faces & everyone laughs when they see them in our china hutch. Have a fantastic weekend 💜🦋🦚
