@@parveenkaur8096 hi! i read it a while ago but it has really stuck with me. I don’t want to give specifics bc I don’t remember what is in the synopsis and what is a spoiler. But the romance is really good and there’s a lot of exploration behind the fantasy elements which i really liked. she’s a historian and he’s a scientist so it goes a little deeper than just fantasy for fantasy’s sake. There’s some really good family elements in the book too. It is way better than “twilight for adults” idrk how to explain it but i def suggest reading it!!

I second this! Really enjoyed the All Souls series - I especially loved the 2nd book, Shadow of Night. And there is a 5th book coming out in a few months!!😁

Agreed! Way, way better than Twilight!! One of my favorite series ever! I’ve re-read it so many times that my copies are literally falling apart!

The Dandelion Dynasty is narrated by Michael Kramer if you tandem read! He does a lot of Brandy Sandy and is my fav Also YES YES YES to the Ninth Rain Trilogy! Good good. Unique take on vampires and witches, magical creature companions and the most unique bad guy I’ve seen in a while. Would love to re-read it this year 💕

The Ember Blade is in my Top 5 all time favs ❤

I also thought it was a gun!!! But you're so right, it's paint or blood splatter but you still picked the nicer version. I also JUST picked up The Book of Ile-Rien and hope to read it soon. Great haul!

The Tales of Earthsea are aimed at a younger audience though I’m not too sure of the exact demographic. Another younger series worth reading would be the Inkheart trilogy by Cornelia Funke. A great and hilarious murder mystery set in a parodied version of Comic Con would be Bimbos of the Deathsun by Sharyn McCrumb. The final series I will suggest are the Shannara books by Terry Brooks. I’ve only read the first trilogy but like Robin Hobb and Joe Abercrombie, Brooks writes multiple book series set in the same world.

👋🏻An underrated fantasy writer is Guy Gavriel Kay. He's been writing historical fantasy since the 70s, has been compared to Robin Hobb for gut wrenching skills and Brandon Sanderson is a big fan! The Lions of Al-rassan, A Song for Arbonne, and Tigana are all good places to start- he does mainly one offs!

⚔️ If you want some less talked about fantasy I would read The Great Hunt by Wendy Higgins, Blood Rose Rebellion by Rosalyn Evans, The Fairy Bargains of Prospect Hill by Rowenna Miller, The Liars Crown by Abigail Owen, and these vicious masks by Tarun Shanker and Kelly Zekas. These are all fantastic fantasy books that I haven’t heard many people talk about at all! I think you would like all of them a lot! Let me know if you plan to read any of these or add them to your TBR.

I’ve been reading/following the Green Rider series for more than 20 years. One of my favorites!

If you are looking for older fantasy series - The Incarnations of Immortality by Piers Anthony, and The Banned and the Banished by James Clemens. Both I have read and re-read many times over. Great series from the 80s and 90s.

I just found out that All Souls series by Deborah Harkness will have a 5th book. ⚔

The best fantasy duology I have read for a while is one I don’t see about hardly at all which is heart breaking as it is phenomenal. This duology is The Nightjar and The Rookery by Deborah Hewitt, so underrated and yet it should be a duet that more people sing about ❤

I found the first 3 hardcover Dandelion Dynasty books at a library sale this past weekend for a dollar each. I immediately put them in my bag. So excited to start the series

I adore "A Discovery of Witches", the series (All Souls) is one of my favorites, just give it a little bit, I found the first 50-75 pages a little slow, but after that you will be totally hooked!!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE 💖

I hope you LOVE the warded man! It was a 5-star read for me and I went straight into the sequel. Same for The Element of Fire and Death of the Necromancer. I love a classic fantasy story where you’re hoping the main character picks the side of good and saves humanity 🤩

I loved the first Discovery of Witches book but soft DNF’d the rest of the series for spoiler reasons. The first series is actually a pretty good adaptation in my own opinion. I haven’t watched further. 😊

Have you read Terry Goodkind? I looooove the Sword of Truth books. There are a lot of them but they are all great!

Classic fantasy book rec: the belgariad & the mallorean by david eddings (two connected 5-book series) are my all time favourite fantasy series. The world building, characters, character arcs and politics are all very well developed and the series improves so much as you go along. Belgariad follows the main character as a kid/teen and the Mallorean as an adult but it's a continuation of the same plot so heads up don't read the mallorean first

I recently read and loved the paper menagerie, so I would be totally down to buddy read the grace of kings!

I want to read the horse girl series (green rider) and the demon cycle so bad! I have all of these (except for A Discovery of Witches, A Wizard of Earthsea, The Book of Ile-Rien, and A Feather so Black) so let's be buddies who read!
