You would think having a production team would be better, but it misses that magic touch that only Mark can do. But we are really happy for all the success Mark has achieved and it is so deserved! We get the same level of enjoyment that we do watching Anthony Bourdain’s shows. They share a similar vibe of authenticity and kindness.

Anthony Bourdain comparison was a little too far fetched.

It's not the same without hearing ying's laugh and Micah curiously walking around

I like when he has his own camera. It's more personal. Right now he is not looking at the right cameras so we can tell others are around. Less personal 😌

Mark's own videos with his own production are still my favorite..it's more authentic and and original..that's what brought him where he is today! Genuine and real...stay blessed Mark you're so down to earth and positive!

Thank you! This was a great and all...But IMO it came across more as sneaky commercial for UAE tourism and not an actual Mark Wiens video. It didn't feel natural at all and everything came across scripted and over produced. Which wouldn't surprise me at all...They are probably don't trust Mark to show their country in the most perfect light and exactly how they want it to look.

What an honor for Mark to be invited to Dubai. And on top of it they offer him a production crew! How generous and kind. The government did everything they could to help Mark make another great video. Lucky Mark, lucky Dubai, lucky us to have another wonderful mouth watering video. Been following Mark for years.

Great to see the joy on Mark’s face as he reminisces about all places he’s been to. This episode must have felt like a culinary trip down memory lane

I think the Dubai tourism guys made a mistake by giving a full production team to Mark. He is best as a one man or 2 and half person show. This looks so much polished where it takes away the organic flow of his videos. Having said that seeing Mark eating anywhere in the world is always great. Love you Mark… hope 2022 eats are better and more fun than last year👍

South Asians, South-East Asians etc. people that Mark supposedly cares about. To see Mark just relinquish creative control to Dubai is extremely disheartening. I wonder if he'd take the sponsorship money if he saw firsthand how Emiratis treat their Filipino and Indonesian domestic workers.

Totally agree, this isn't his style. Way off with the vibe. His videos where he is filming alone with Jing and Micah are his bread and butter and what got him 8m+ subscribers .

The world has some amazing food and Mark has luckily been able to sample lots of it and I’ve enjoyed tagging along virtually every single time. May your stomach never fill my friend and here’s to more fantastic meals. 🙏

His mannerisms were different, too. He was not shoving food down his throat. He was a showing a little more decorum. I think it was because it was being sponsored and he was in Debai.

Even though alot of effort and evolution has gone into this video, I really loved the older format which seemed more raw and engaging. This seems like a tv episode rather than a vlog, my 2 cents and each to their own. Hope you go back to the older format

You know the best thing about Mark is his excited infectious whole face smile. His eyes sparkle and he has a gift of making visiting a new culture a wonderful adventure for both the viewer and himself. He will get his own prime time show on television soon once the networks see how fantastic he connects with the audience….oh and that smile! And he actually understands what he’s talking about. Understanding the subject is just as important. I bet he get’s his own show within a year. We, his fans need to use social media and ask the world to watch a few of his videos and spread the word.

Good Dubai tourism board propaganda. I'm sure Mark secured a nice bag with this one. 😂

This video was great, but I miss the more welcoming and comfortable style of your own videos with your family... It was so noticeable that Ying and Micah weren't there. It's so much better hearing Micah running around in the background. Hope you go back to that!

I’ve watched you for so many years mark and you have made such an impact on me and my career. I will admit that maybe I just miss your classic self made vlogs, it seems more natural like your on your own food trip. But I understand that advancements need to be made to further your craft! I love all the things you do ! I have lived vicariously through the videos. I just feel like this is a documentary, not your "personal experience " videos that I became hooked on. 🙂

Mr Mark is such a genuine person and he’s so respectful to other culture and most important of all he has the ability to make even a dry bread sound so yummy! Not to mention, he’s such a good family man, he takes his family along in the food journey, which I love the most. Keep eating 🍽 Mr Mark, we will forever be your fan.

Mark is one of a kind vlogger. I feel like travelling with him and enjoying all the food.

I’m glad to see he’s being sponsored…it’s always great for creator. But I wish they showed his wife and kid too..this feels like very “business” like. The best part of Mark is his authenticity and simplicity…but I’m sure it’s going to be a mixture. Happy for your growth ❤️

I don't care for the professional production. I mean it looks good, but your wonderful personality kind of disappears. The raw Mark Wiens is the best Mark Weins. Love watching you!

Mark loves his Yellow Label Lipton tea, tasted especially good in Dubai.

as much as I love watching his travels to try all these amazing foods, I'm most jealous of his metabolism seems like he is able to simultaneously digest and burn off all the calories that he consumes as he eats. I'd be lucky to fit in a single airplane seat after one of these adventures

I prefer Marks own productions personally. This one felt off. This 3-4 man camera crew didn’t quite capture the essence of Mark enjoying the food the way he does on his own. Actually ruined the whole video for me, but I can understand trying it out. The B-roll was fine, but I hope it goes back to Mark doing it, particularly when it comes to trying the food out. Can’t replace greatness.

I will miss your classic vlogs, i always enjoy your comfy and scuffed traveling with family, it has it's own charm. I love for traveling and culture you show and food is always some bonus in every journey, because food is always has their own history.

Mark I am a big fan of your work, and I have loved every video you have uploaded ever since I found your channel. But I have to say this video just isn't it. I understand that this must be a great sourceof income, but the essence of what makes your videos great is just missing. The authentic interactions with the locals, the feel through sound and video of the different places in their normal element (not restaurents that are serving you probably before their openning hours), and your interactions with the venders and the people that are with you on your journeys (whether your family, friends, or the local area guides) is just missing here. That being said I wish you and your family nothing but health happiness and more success.

I love that first setup. On the floor with some pillows is the best place to eat.

I'm going to state the unpopular opinion. I don't really like the professional team videos. I love it when it's just you and your camera. It makes me feel like I'm there with you, enjoying your meal. And I love your bubbly and wondrous personality in them. The big production loses that great quality. And it makes the video seem like all the other team videos "cough cough Sonny". Hi Mark! I missed the authenticity of your videos here. The editing crew did a horrible job of transitioning from the food to you. None of the food looked hot and steamy like when you showcase it. I really hope this was just for this one sponsor and not the direction of your channel. I’m so sorry to be honest but it just didn’t feel like you. It seems many noticed the same vibe from reading the other comments. Looking forward to regular programming in the next few videos. 😊❤️

Mark you should do a top 20 favourite food of urs. Since Mark is respectful to all culture and cousines he is able to enjoy the diversity and is loved through out the world .we need to learn from him

Hi Mark! Hope you're having a amazing day! Everytime we watch your mouth watering vlogs my wife would mention she wish you would wear something different in some of your vlogs like a golf shirt, or a white colored Mark Wiens t-shirt with red pepper or short sleeve shirt when in high end restaurants or 5 star hotel restaurants. I told her because Mark is such a simple guy that's why but, he eats basically where he wants to eat.

I think it's great that you had a film crew Mark. I must say I prefer it when Ying films you in action. I don't know if you did the music but to me the less the better! I think that raw film is the best and repetitive music throws all of that out the window. Keep up the great work that you do Mark. The world would not be the same without you!!! 🤘🤪🤘

Mark, I love your channel. But as I'm watching this episode, I am not crazy about this "profession" look done by the film crew. I'd much rather prefer the look of your videos when you and Ying film them. The multiple camera shots, the music you use and the way you edit them is what sets you apart from every other KZreadr. And, that is why I love watching your videos. That being said, I still enjoyed this video. But, next time they offer you a film crew, please decline them and film it yourself. Thanks in advance and have a great day. ☺
