HUGE BOAT DECK UPGRADE!! - DIY Deck Extension with TONS of storage.

We give Nate's Crestliner Raptor 1750 a big upgrade with a HUGE back deck extension with a ton of storage, a good portion of which is hanging bait storage for large musky baits. To make the hanging bait storage, we used 2.5" PVC downspouts pieces. Hopefully this video will be helpful when you decide to make this upgrade to your boat!
IMPORTANT NOTE: I failed to mention in the video that the middle divider that both lids rest on was made by gluing two pieces of the 5/8" marine grade plywood together to create a wider platform for the lids to rest on where they meet in the middle.
Here is a list of the materials we used in this project (prices are approximate):
-1 4x8 ft sheet of marine grade plywood (5/8") from Menards ($65)
-Vinyl and Carpet to match the existing interior were acquired from Quam's Marine ($155)
-Aluminum Hinge 6 ft, 4" open width, 0.060" thickness, 1/2" knuckle, 0.120" pin diameter ($18)
-Stainless Steel 10-24 bolts, 1 1/4" and 2" long ($20)
-Stainless Steel 10-24 Nylock nuts ($6)
-Stainless Steel #10 x 3/4" screws ($20)
-Angle aluminum 1/16" x 3/4" ($16)
-T50 staples, 3/8" for the vinyl and 1/2" for the carpet ($10)
-3M Super 77 spray contact adhesive ($11 x 3)
-Perko 1091DP1BLK surface mount lock & latch ($38 x 2)
-10 ft x 2.5" PVC downspout cut to size ($9x9)
Approximate cost of Project: $500

Angling Anarchy I’m not sure if you are a walleye fisherman, or if you are familiar with the area Ocanto, I’m from Appleton Wisconsin and I am 98% sure you guys are based out of Wisconsin. But I went walleye fishing today and we caught about 30 walleye, biggest was a 29”. Along with a surprise catch with a 38” pike. We aren’t keeping the walleyes because I don’t like keeping them during the run. But it’s a nice fun day on the water catching a bunch of fish!
