I forgot to add that the striped shirt to the Wilderness outfit is one if my favorites. I think I actually have 2 of them but that’s all I own from the outfit.

I also bought the Sugar Plum Fairy outfit from that seller. I’ve bought a lot of little things from her and others over the past few years. I appreciate getting little replacement parts for items I may have wanted from AG, but didn’t want to pay for the full set.

Yep - I'd definitely shop that store again (though I'd probably steer clear of off brand stuff since the romper was so hilariously short lol.

I remember the cd-rom...I spent hours making a Felicity play that actually lasted only few minutes. I made my whole family watch it. Good times. I miss the AG club and the AG magazine. Now I’m adult historical collector while my girls like the modern AG dolls. Great video. 😊

I LOVE imagining a child requiring the family to play audience for your Felicity masterpiece. I'm determined to find a computer that will support that CD-rom because I want to experience the tedium of 90's AG playwriting, too!

#1. I bought that Sugar Plum Fairy outfit because it was only $10. No complaints for that price because the outfit fits. Problem is the shoes. One is sewn smaller than the other and doesn't fit right and the ribbons aren't long enough to tie in the front. I have a couple of different shades of purple tights that match. I'll have to make the ballet shoes when I get some purple satin. #2. I love those mini lights. I have them for all of the holidays. Several different ones (pumpkins, purple cats, ghosts, etc.) for Halloween. Just bought Snoopy and Woodstock Christmas ones and bought Grinch ones (available again this year) last year. #3. I have 2 of the AG summer outfits that came with swimsuit, pink sandals, hat, and dress + other accessories. I alter outfits a bit sometimes. For instance I will change the ribbon on one hat to match another summer dress that I make. If I bought that romper with those short legs I would cut it off, hem it, and make a top. Then pair it with a skirt or shorts. I do that when I get the same Truly Me outfit on multiple dolls. I make tops to go with shorts. Example is the turquoise, green, white and pink flowered Truly Me dress that came with the turquoise jacket. I made a top that pairs with Courtney's turquoise shorts. Perfect match. Doing the same with the new Truly Me pink and light orange dress as I bought 3 dolls that come with that dress. Pair with bright pink shorts. Not kept original AG clothing but I'm not reselling duplicates if I can make another outfit for my girls.

1) That sucks about the shoes for the SPF outfit. I'm glad hers fit because I don't know how to make doll shoes lol. I hope the ones you make turn out great! 2) Where do you usually find all those lights? The scale on the aliens was just so perfect for the twins' room and I wouldn't mind getting a few other sets of them. 3) Yeah, I thought about having Grace make a top out of that romper. We'll see. It does look cute on the WWs though.

I'm obsessed with you!! Your videos are always so good and I watch them once all the way through and then I play it over and over again while I clean or cook... you remind me of kyla from kyla collects and Sophia from just dream studios... I also watch other agtubers but you three girls are the ones I tune into the most right now ❤❤

Thanks for the shout out, Kristie! 😊 I didn't realize there was a term "grey market" on eBay, for sellers that had purchased seconds or overruns. Thanks for that explanation. You picked up some cute pieces. I had an issue with a couple of my recent purchases but was promised replacements - so we'll see if that happens. I'm working on a video with those items. I had also purchased that exact same romper, and mine wasn't that short! But I do agree that the off brand items are hit and miss. Facebook Marketplace has such great finds all over the country. I think about 75% of my AG collection comes from there or thrift stores. I did have one regret; I purchased a ballet studio thinking it was for 18" dolls but turned out to be for the mini dolls - oof. I sure wish AG would bring back the club, magazine and computer games! Great video! 💞

Too funny but the Wilderness outfit pants are one of my all time fav AG pieces!! LOL. I am a pink loving gal and love anything floral so yeah I ❤ them. However I do really love the top and vest together to and think the total overall is awesome! I always look forward to using this outfit when I dress my dolls for winter. I will usually add some white or brown mittens with it and it looks great. I don’t have the boots for the set so now I’m on the lookout for a pair. The green lights are very fun!

I remember that club hat being a tight fit as a kid, but big head problems, I guess. 😬 The best part of the computer game is the director’s guide, which is like a virtual PC catalogue. I haven’t been able to play the game in years because of course I’m a Mac user. I think it would still work if I ran the original Mac interface on my computer, but I’m not that computer literate. It does work better on Windows. There’s also another PC game, Dress Designer. I still have never run across that tin and the newsletter. I’d love to have those!

I'm glad you enjoyed all the goodies (and have so many of them yourself). Yeah, that's the hat I was wearing at the shopping event. It was so wrinkly from being folded for almost TWO DECADES, but my mini steamer did the job!

Love the alien lights garland, definitely perfect for Nicki. I still have my elementary school pencil box (from the 90s) that I’d put an alien head sticker on. 😂👽

What you’re saying is, that you don’t have to have every single piece of every single thing. You pick the collections that you like and you work on completing them. I think that’s a great idea when we were doing American girl dolls we had Felicity, Molly and Kristen Addie joined us later, and so did Josefina and then there were the girls of today and there were 12 of them. I think they came along. We didn’t need all of it like we didn’t need the entire girl and her collection and that was when it was probably about $1000 a doll. I was married my ex made incredible money and so to buy it was not a big deal, but it was what she grew to expect and that is a terrible lesson to teach. I love it when she tells me that they’re never going to take the girls to Disney World because it’s too expensive and I can count without even taking my socks off the number of times that we were in Disney World or Universal, or whatever when the kids were young, and that she would think that is too expensive now cracks me up because it was just as expensive then when we took them and there wasn’t any complaints about it then. Strange how you think you grow up to be an adult and you have no idea who she is.

Also, I think it is common and developmentally appropriate that your daughter didn't understand or appreciate how expensive all her Disney/Universal trips were as a child and now that she has matured enough to understand household finances and bears the responsibility for them herself she has a different perspective. Isn't that most people's experience?

Fun stuff! I used Marketplace out of my area for the first time last month. I got a great deal on the listed items but then they hauled out Kit's birthday patio table and chairs and...I may have over paid slightly. I also caved to Ivy Ling for more than I wanted to spend, but it was still a fun experience. Loving the little daisy necklace and earrings!

One of my strategies with Marketplace purchases that are kind of far away is to ask them if they have any additional AG clothes, accessories, etc that they are interested in selling but haven't listed yet. I've ended up getting some pretty decent deals that way and it's nice to get first crack at things. I'm glad your first trek for a Marketplace purchase was successful!

I think it’s a pet of some kind you can see the outline of a face that would lead you to believe that it’s a dog. Of course I only have half my eyesight so I could be half right or half from, but that’s what I’m getting out of it. Whose dog it is and where it fits in the stories I’m not completely sure, I look at these pages to see all the things that have happened since my daughter outgrew her collection, and fortunately had it all well packed away by her brother, and so everything was in order when she moved to Texas when she got married and her two daughters now have her collection and I personally bought her $18 and this was before 1999 so everything she has is pleasant company we we haven’t added anything else while she may have but I didn’t. It was weird didn’t want the dolls to go to cause I didn’t want them to get trashed and said to my daughter give them each one of your girls of today let them pick and then put the rest of it awayuntil you’re sure they will play with them

Do you have the food/grill out set that was sold at the same time? And I may ask Grace about making a top out of it, but I think the waist is just too high on the 18" doll. So either a top for our 18" girls or as-is for the WWs. We'll see.

My problem with purchasing things from the gray market is the fact that yes they may be the real deal, but they’re not sold properly through the agency or in this case pleasant company/Mattel. Now you’re gonna think we’re talking about apples and ducks here because they are both so uniquely different. When video recorders came out JV held the rights to VHS and Sony on the rights to beta and made a big mistake and bought VHS because it recorded instead of Sony, which would give you better picture quality The problem was these big screen televisions remember I’m talking about about 45 years ago when this all started the black market/gray market became an easy way to get the machines as cheap like $650 as opposed to paying the JVC or JVC licensed seller who is selling them for the proper price of $1000. I consider it stealing someone’s brain power went into designing that machine and another person‘s time and labor went into making that machine and then some guy just lowball out the door in a box that already has a problem yet people snapped them up they would come in and tell us so I can get this for 650 and would say OK go get it, and when it 90 days later they were in our store looking for our repair service to pick it up and we would pop the top because we had been trained and sure enough it was good. And we would look at the person and say I’m sorry we can’t help you. You’ll have to take this to another type of repair company because we do not repair Greg goods and then we have to explain to them. What gray goods were how they got caught up in it sometimes it was a mistake or they didn’t know any better otherwise other times, it was they just wanted to get the good price and they knew exactly what they were getting. So when someone makes a product and sell it tagging it, that makes it a certain companies product. They are stealing copyright. They are stealing time labor materials, all things that you need to continue with your progress. I am not under any circumstances coming down on you for buying I mean I have to say it when sent my 16 year old who is my 40 year-old to California for the summer with a girlfriend she came home with a assortment of Kate Spade and Louis Vuitton, knock offs that I just couldn’t even believe, she’s like mom they’re only 10 and $15. It was so great and look at what I got and all I could think of was you just put and kept someone out of business by the purchases that they made out of the trunk of the car. I cast no stones, I just happens to be one of those things I feel strongly about because I can see how impressionable 16-year-old girls at the thought of getting the very cutest bag in the world. Don’t realize that it really is worth the four or five or six or $1000 that you’re paying for it. And some people didn’t realize that the machine that they bought wasn’t really a JVC or JVC license product. So that’s my take on graymarket I do not mean like I said before to accuse or chastise anyone for making those purchases that’s their on their adults you can do that, I just think that it’s important that people know what the gray market is and the harm that it can do to any industry, I sewed a truckload worth of American girl doll clothes I use the patterns that were put out by Pleasant Company. I still have them but at no time did I ever try to represent my work as theirs. I made mommy and me dresses and stuff like that. In the beginning there were no dresses for first communion which was one of the times the girls were getting their dolls for the first time so in that way I was feeling avoid, but at no time was I representing myself as a representative for pleasant company that’s all I’m saying I hope I did not offend you or anyone else. It’s just a touchy subject for me because I had to turn a lot of people away that needed equipment that they got at that special price and it broke 90 days later.

I think you're talking about a few different things here - The designer bag knock-offs are just that - knock-offs. Those are not something I would consider gray market in the same sense. And in terms of the AG gray market, these are things produced in AG's factories. They're either defects or overstock as I understand it. I know the things I've purchased have been retired odds and ends. Obviously no one who is ethically opposed to it needs to support it, but in this case I'm not buying knock-offs nor am I opting to get items (currently available from AG) from the gray market to save a buck. They're simply actual AG items I can't get from AG.

Isn't it just Webber? Pronounced like a spider web? I've never heard anyone say "weebur"
