I love the pond jobs videos. It would be cool if you could set up a separate static camera off to the side somehow, to record the whole process and be able to time lapse the whole job at the end of the series. Anyway, still love seeing the dirt dug and learning why.

An interesting thing about dams is that it doesn't matter how many acres of water there is - how strong a dam has to be is ONLY a matter of how deep the water is, at the dam. A half-acre pond that's 10 feet deep will need a dam that's twice as strong as a 10 acre pond that's 5 feet deep. That's because water pressure is what the dam has to hold back & water pressure is proportional to depth.
@zaccheus

Mechanically yes, but I believe dam engineering standards change with water volume change because of the risk associated larger volumes of water. I'd love to hear someone else's input on this matter too.

Me.....I just spent 2 hours with my little 25hp tractor with backhoe trying to get an old oak stump out of my mothers flower garden. Right tool for the right job right? I know, it’s painful to watch dry ground and open water when it’s two feet of snow, 18” of ice on the lake out front and minus 10 outside! Central Ontario Muskoka Lakes. The Malibu of Canada.
Love the aerial views and music. Nice pond. What no "Timber"? I was waiting!
That’s a pretty big pond. Looking forward to this one, should be good. Take care & cheers 🐨🦘🥰

That a big pond ... This is going to be fun
"hopefully that's not a body" hahahaha
Man that’s a lot faster than my little backhoe attachment for my John Deere!
Was wondering where the 10 acres of water was at… then the drone went up. This is going to be a good project. Hope there’s some long videos to go with it 😉
When I see a good operator that makes Every move of his bucket count it reminds you of a person's hand reaching Out an doing the work As a dear friend of mine said you have to be slow enough to make moves Count an fast enough to where at end of shift you have made a big difference in you're work And most of don't get so fast you don't Get anything down but a mess Where they have to hire someone to come an fix you're mess because that sure will keep you on soup line But the best part is enjoy you're work So others will too An always to be working for next job
I had to open a lake valve just like that once and the homeowner refused to let me go out alone like you did. Of course we both ended up in the lake when she capsized the boat - and it was COLD! 🥶
