Seems like pretty simple job. I have in mind to replace mine even though not leaking. The plastic cover is clouded up enough that its hard to see oil level. Thanks for posting. As a new owner operator I've learned quit a bit from your videos. Keep up the great work.

When it leaks like that u can tell its not the hub seal its that plug that lets out oil. I replaced that and it fixed the problem it was dry for few months and started getting slightly wet again from there.

Be careful about the torque. Aluminum hub strips really easy.

Judging by the streaks coming from each wheel lug nut you probably should have torqued the lug nuts before cleaning the streaks off😅

I have a question about headlights. My 2015 cascadia has regular halogen headlights. I tried to install aftermarket led bulbs but my driver side doesn’t work on low beam but passenger side does. So I just put my regular halogen bulbs on. Do I need to program my headlights to run led’s?

Freightliner M2 and Thomas busses (assuming it's the same with the rest of them) run each headlight to 2 different body control modules. One is the Bulkhead module and is on the fire wall. The other is the chassis module and is directly under the floor/behind the LF wheel well. Usually LED lights require a resistor to mimic the same circuit resistance a halogen bulb has.

I recommend doing trans and all hubs/diffs at every 100k miles. That way you remember every hundred thousand miles you’re doing everything.

If it just poped off I’d be a little worried. I would Deff get a new one and new oil in there. Also make sure there no issues with any of the screw threads.

Good question, we use that specific oil on all diffs and axles as its synthetic weight is perfect for them. And axle manufacturers recommend it. But always check with your manual or dealer for proper fluids.
