Huawei watches are in there own class with battery life....insane compared to Apple Google Samsung....and makes it a no brainier for me.

I’ve had the HUAWEI GT2 for nearly four years and I just love it. When I used it with an Android device I could upload songs onto it. Unfortunately, with my iPhone now I cannot do that. Something tells me this is the case with this watch, too….

Yes, you can do so through the Huawei Health app. You can also export a route as a .gpx, .tcx or .kml file to be used on other devices. Hope that helps!

The turn-based notifications may come through on your watch once you set your destination on your phone and start navigation, but there's no official map integration for the watch itself.

looks/works brilliant, would purchase if it connected to 3rd party apps, in which it is extremely limited. Show stopper for me.

Apple watch allows you to control the camera shutter on the phone...can i do the same with the Watch Fit 3?

It depends on your brand of smartwatch, but unless you have a Huawei (or possibly Honor) phone, it's safe to just assume that you can't unfortunately. There is an app that supports it, Camera Opus, but it hasn't worked in my experience. Hope that helps! Basil

Huawei has replied, I was wrong! You can swap with other fit 3 straps, The little lugs come off so it still looks like regular watch. Huawei doesn't guarantee third-party strap compatibility, but you can purchase a separate fit link to be able to try, though I wasn't able to find it on Huawei's accessories site in the UK, that should be updated soon.

I currently have Amaze fit Pro3 which I've had for over one and a half years now and it is Great. After watching this review I am beginning to seriously consider the Fit3 but I have a Question which is: Does the Fit3 have One-Tap Measuring which is You choose the option then stand still for 45 seconds and gives You 4 Different Measurements namely: Hart Rate, Blood Oxygen, Stress Level and Breaths per minute?

No, that was a great feature of the Amazefit. The Watch Fit 3 is smaller, lighter, feels more premium, and I prefer the interface, though maybe that's just because I've used a lot of Huawei Watches before. It doesn't have Amazefit's PAI or one tap measurement, but it does have all day auto monitoring (auto SPO2 and HR) so you don't necessarily need to take the reading as it's already done. You can put store cards and QR codes, and in some countries, you can pay with a QR code, so I'm guessing that reviewer may not have actually been talking about NFC? In the UK, though, there's no wallet app, just a third-party store cards app that's available when the watch is paired with an Android device. Hope that helps!

​@@tech_edit so I've learned that the Grey one with Nylon strap and white leather one has NFC. But whether it works for payments is another story. It seems it's just for Huawei OneHop to quickly make pictures you've taken the watch face.

What about the Huawei health app, which many users have indicated consumes a lot of battery power on their phones? Also, are the NFC function and voice assist available outside China?

What about heart rate accuracy?

Over a 30m workout, it had an overall almost identical graph to my chest strap, but at specific times it could be up to 5bpm out on occasion. This wasn't an issue for me doing HR interval training, but might me more of an issue for anyone who isn't a casual exerciser. I hope that helps!

I notice lots of review do not clearly talk about the fact you cannot install any apps on this. Unless things are in the Huawei fitness app then you cannot install apps. That's such a let down.

It measures 36mm x 43mm and is pretty light. Maybe cut out a piece of card with those dimensions and see? My mum who has very slender wrists found it to be okay.

1. Put your wireless audio device into pairing mode. 2. Open Settings, Bluetooth, and it will scan devices. Select your wireless audio device and it is paired. To transfer music across, you need it in MP3 format, and it transfers over Bluetooth so can take a long time. I hope that's helpful! Basil

Biggest issue with this watch is, does not have hiking mode (no altitude meter). And if you get multiple messages from one person, example viber, you will be able to see only last one. Smartwatch without calculator? Not even with additional apps? Few disappointments from me. People exaggerate and call it apple watch killer.....seriously.

i wish they can let user design their own watchface like android watch!! the price to too high,

doesn't have a PAI or equivalent, if your a serious exerciser you probably need a better watch, for most of us, amazfit's PAI is more than sufficient, this huawei is really only for those who fall between the two, amateurs who want to pretend, like me

Yes, my great aunt uses one, and she is 85, though I set it up for her and help her from time to time. It's great to be able to stay in touch with her over WhatsApp, and she WhatsApp calls family abroad. One of the good things about technology 🙌

You can't run the Strava app on it, but it syncs with Strava as a service, so your health metrics are uploaded to Strava.
