hms android or whatever MS android isnt any new idea. China has been doing that for years with their chinese made android base phone as china has ban google so they use open sauce android and add in their own service+app stores. Even in the US you still experience something similar with Amazon and their fire tablet. Still same open source android with amazon own services.

The fact is, this platform market is already full and cant fit anymore, without customers no dev want to build app, and wothout app, no customers want to use it. This so call harmony OS isnt even developed, they has been developing it foe 3 years and as of eight now, still nothing.

And Huawei is working to solve this problem since the beginning of the ban And harmony os is developed, Arun tells us in this video that its almost ready if not fully and that a TV got out with harmony OS, so it's a question of time before more and more products with harmony OS get out. And don't forget that yes without customers you don't have devs, but there's already millions of people using Huawei (it's in the top 3 sellers of phone of the world, how can you say "no customers") and if these people see that Huawei can provide a service as good as before (that might even be better) even without hms, they'll continue to use it, because Huawei products are really good and with a viable solution, why not continue to use it

Human behaviors are hard to change. And no matter how you build around it, a phone without google ecosystem nor apple ecosystem will not work at this point. But it doesnt really matter at this stage as huawei has already announced that they ran out of cellphone chipset, so they cant even make any phone by sep.

The clash between China & Google is also the greatest dream for Samsung who will have extreme power over Google to dictate terms since if they go leave Android it could easily destroy the Smartphone & Tablet OS markets. As a result LG and Sony also will have extreme power over Google since they will be the only major players remaining. Not to mention that even Alcatel is a Chinese company which uses Android who will also be banned.

The Chinese companies will be afraid of being completely dependent upon Android since the Huawei ban will always be a cautionary tale that soon even they can get banned. So to make sure that the ban doesn't affect their business they will do everything to make sure they can sell well independently of Android which means creating their own operating systems. Huawei being the biggest Chinese brand will strike deals with local rivals to take advantage of the clash. Since the more big firms are using only 1 operating system the easier it will it to be attract app developers since the OS will be bigger than Android and Apple.

I must say, your app gallery looks very different to mine loaded. for some reason mine does not seem localized and looks more Asian oriented, with focused social apps for instance showing wechat and QQ.

As a user of a huawei phone I have to say they have done an amazing job at porting important apps here in sweden. Every deal breaker app is here like bank apps, online ID apps, and alike. The phones in themselves are top of the line stuff too. I've ordered a note 20 ultra now at launch, just for the s pen feature, and I fear I might regret my choice going from huawei.

I have one question... The Huawei Smart Phones that currently using Android ( Huawei P40, P30, Mate 30...) are going to receive the harmony OS or just the future ones (Huawei P50, Mate 40...)?

Well GMS can be used on Haawei unofficial by flashing a custom ROM .

Basically Romeo and Juliet where they want to be together but their families (USA and China) don't want them to be together

Common people know 'flagship' phrase from phone but don't know what its actually came and what it intended to use for originally. Seems you are one from common people like other ignorant who easily use 'flagship' for phone only and its exist for phone term. Flagship - intended to determine the main command of army head in any force in field. Why 'flag' and 'ship'? Its from naval ship war thing. Any ship of battalion had a head of command and its tagged as flagship. If the head is down by enemy, the command chain in chaos so enemy had advantage to scramble toward. Learn term war not a bad thing because many sector implemented war term in to theirs since business is a new form of war.

Well the Windows Phones were good and soooo durable. But it didn't have enough good apps. I think that was the problem, as per my friends and my personal.

@Zak Jansen but as least you'll get an ecosystem that works seamlessly. Today be honest, pairing Android with Windows seamlessly is not an easy task for avrg users (you'll get more if u use Microsoft Launcher tough). Like displaying your phones to Windows with third party apps like Apppowermirror or other else like integrating notifications, calls, contacts, and photos using Microsoft Launcher (it still lacks feature like reply instantly with any other social media apps, or storage shares between devices). To be honest those are pretty janky solutions and average users don't have a time to do the untie and pay them one by one to get full accesses. That's why having a reliable and easy way to integrate devices is a big demand and also important these days. Apple has done that solution (kinda) by making devices (iPhones, Macbook, MacPC, iPad, wearables, wheels??) that connect into a unified ecosystem with less janky solutions like Android. Huawei, in the other hands, takes it to another level by making every Huawei's products use a single OS that runs on pretty much any Huawei's latest devices. That way the solutions might be more flawlessly than Apples, Android, or Windows. I can see the future when Huawei fans might not want to move to other platforms because how seamlessly Huawei's ecosystem is and that's pretty appealing and facinating.

All concepts pretty much explained. Vlog is clutter free and AV quality is good with content. Moreover I like your accent, sounds British but I think you aren’t a native of UK thou. All good keep it up dude. Cheers

Midaspl it’s obviously an example, the point is that devices don’t need to specifically be designed to do such (aka, the speakers wouldn’t need Bluetooth and an external playback api just so that the computer recognises it), so for a better example, take a fridge that for whatever reason has a speaker in it, and you’re watching a movie with surround sound, that fridge’s speaker can seamlessly be incorporated into the surround sound mesh with no extra work, as long as it runs harmony.

@@Tonatsi but the biggest question is, why would you want a fridge with surround sound. Why would you want Harmony OS running on all your machines, when you can do some simple technical work, and have everything run windows, and be seamlessly connected via an intranet. The internet of things, is completely possible without Huawei nibbling your asscheeks and mining your data for Papa Xi. Atleast with Google, I know my data's being used for ads, but with the ChiComs, I'd rather my data not be in their hands.

You can also use petal search on Huawei phones

I use p40 wo google and its working perfect got all my apps through petal search and theres no problem with anything
