Well, I own a Huawei p9 plus for over a year now and I will say that it is still fast and smooth. My phone is now full (63,50GB/64GB) and it has not changed even a little bit. I think it is still worth it and I recommend it to everyone, except if you are not like me and dropped it on the 3rd day. It breaks REALLY easy.

The two lens system is really creative. It allows you to readjust focus and have a almost DSLR effect. It also allows you to make the background black&white while keeping the colors of the object.

I'm ordering this today, holy shit this phone is epic. It feels smaller than an iPhone 6, even though it screen size says its bigger, but it's almost like it has no bezels. So sick!!! Good review btw.

I use mine on AT&T so yeah it might work on T-Mobile. Sadly its not available in the US and I imported mine from a friend from the UK so you would just have to wait.

How can you miss that the second camera has a Black and White only sensor with no Bayer filter on top which theoretically increases light gathering capability by 300%??!!? That it records DNG format and that the camera app has full manual controls? I would have love to see how this works in low light situations. Are DNGs a blend of the two sensors? how does the B+W camera works? Seriously that is the #1 feature and the only thing that really puts this phone apart from everything else. They deserve the credit for trying something new and somehow most reviewers are missing this feature :/

would it be worth it to sell my p9 for a nexus 6p or the op3? i feel like the p9 gets warm and it has slowdowns when it gets warm... and the slowdowns are quite often after 2 months of usage... thanks!

Jikes...when I rememer this phone I get angry :) In 2016 I had galaxy S7 and wanted to buy something similar but cheaper for my wife . P9 It looked great on paper...18 months later and one motherboard and battery later it was an electronic waste while my daughter still uses galaxy s7.

+Mallas Davericks Thank you! Havent exactly decided yet, but probably 10-15 throughout this month! Id say the G5 to be honest. Only thing is the battery life is not great unless you buy the thick modular camera pack :)

Good review, I'm really sweet on this phone! But seen it doesn't have fast charging! How long does the battery take to charge? As my g4 can pretty much go from zero to full in about an hour. So the charging time could be a deal breaker between this and the htc 10 for me

Arun, for the graphic texts, did you use Motion or After Effects? Those were amazing.

But We Can Shoot 4K on P9 By Using Google Camera!! Available At Playstore... Just Go to Camera Settings of Google Camera and Chose 4K!!

Why Huawei price so high as a Chinese mobile Co.?

One of the first reviews of the P9 and it's pretty well made. Well done, going to do a review on it as well as soon as it hits Europe in May. How's the Kirin 955 performance under continuous gaming/video recording use? Does the performance drop like hell to prevent overheating? Also, have you noticed the Snapdragon 820 & Exynos 8890 benchmark results in Antutu? They each push around 110-120k scores compared to the ~90kish of the Kirin. Any thoughts on that?

+MrHollow The kirin doesnt have as good a GPU, so gaming, while great and enough for a 1080P display, is not quite as high performance as on other phones. It seemed to handle heating fine :)

1080p isn't a weird choice, I actually don't understand why we would use higher res displays on phones. Our eyes just can't see the difference and it uselessly demands more power. If I remember right, above ~330 PPI your eyes physically can't see the difference.

No. That is 2nd Gen and P9 has Level 4 fingerprint scanner
