Exactly. I dont even mind the price as much, but I dont want a huge phone. 6.4"+ is waaay to big for my taste.

My p30 camera works likes how you said it would and I like it

i was solidly sold on the huawei on the photography but then I saw the video comparison and the micro jitters made not want to xD thanks for the comparison! you always try to take pics and vids as evenly so it feels like it is a very fair comparison :) great job as always

Samsung use exynos, I will buy p30 Samsung use snapdragon, I will buy Samsung.

Great review, both phones have their pros and cons which makes them great both. Thats where it all comes to personal preference, im just used to samsung's skin so s10e is my next phone 😂

Hello Daniel As many before me I wanted to point out that the review seems fair and well done. Good comparisons with nice explanations. I wanted to ask if you know about any updates to the software which improves the videoquality of the p30? Personally I noted that videofilming on the p30 seems very bad in low light conditions and when moving, but maybe its also down to my settings. I tested 4k30fps and 1080P 30&60 FPS, but it seems to have a ton of noise and the jitters are omnipresent. Any advice?

I think it’s hard to improve video quality by just a firmware update. I think we are all stuck with the subpar video on the p30 lol. And thanks man! Glad you watched the video

Is there the "vivid" option on the camera mode (like the m20p) which makes the colours pop up more? If yes, it would be interesting to see a comparison with it switch on...

Preferred the shots from the s10e for the most part. The Huawei does better in extreme lowlight but the s10 did better in the regular night shots. Better dynamic range too and colours. P30 with the better zoom but overall the s10e does better

I think the more neutral look from the Huawei is more realistic to the eye. Samsung has that punchy look which makes the pictures look nice. Lowlight is when Samsung looks more realistic than the Huawei

Currently as of now Huawei said any current devices released will be supported. But I'm not sure how long that will last. I'm on my P30 right now responding 😂. My Google stuff is still working.

Because of recent updates you will not even notice the difference

I appreciate the comparison using the P30 vs P30 pro, however it seems like the S10 (not s10e or s10+) would be a much closer comparison. I'd also be interested in a comparison of RAW images and using other apps (ABC, Open Camera) to see if other apps may produce better photos.

Huawei still seems to have that low volume issue with their mic... 🙄🤦

P30 overall better for stills? Not for me. The photos from the s10e had for the most part better exposure, dynamic range and colours. I know the reviewer said it swung back and forth but from the samples shown it seemed to swing more towards the s10e. Even the night shots were better on the s10e. P30 only did better with zoom and extreme lowlight. Stills and video for me go to the s10e.

Well it's a 8mp telephoto camera so I would guess it should be what that translates to in resolution, not sure but a bit lower than the normal 10 mp. That is if you're talking about the huawei

Night mode on s10e is good, better and more consistent colors. But I like how Huawei does night mode where it tells you how long to hold it for. One UI is okay, still not my favorite UI but I would prefer it over Huaweis

It’s a hard choice but I think lifestyle things like water resistant and wireless charging is so nice to have on the Samsung. Huawei got that telelens. It’s what you value most in a phone. UI is also easier to use on the Samsung as well

Hard to say, I haven't tried the telephoto lens on the S10 yet. It depends of you like wireless charging as well since the P30 doesn't have it

If looking at them apart, not really. I won’t notice any big difference if I use them separately. Samsung colors looks more vibrant and the screen is a bit sharper for sure

battery life, fingerprint, and face ID are superior in p30, but that triple camera is setup is cheap a little, ultra wide not bad, but not so wide, main camera not stabilised, that telephoto is not a quality stuff at all, selfie camera is fix focus only too. It is a low budget setup the software does the heavy lifting :( Samsung is shining in video and audio quality and has wireless charging, sd slot, IP 68. Big screen and battery phone can be found really cheap.

After longer use a have fallen in love with the wide camera. It is crazy sharp (has faster and better focus than the main camera, maybe better resolution too(16 vs 10) and has superb macro ability. Somewhere between the magnifier and the microscope. Can be the best macro camera on the market with its focus system and 16mp.

The reason I would take the P30's camera over the S10e's is that color can really be added, for the most part, in post. However, it's impossible to add all those details that the P30 gets with the vastly higher megapixel count.

@@TheSeetwo really? Come on man dont be blind. The only factor that the p30 pro wins is the 5x zoom and the dedicated camera night mode. But in overall, the s10plus is the winner here. Better dynamic range, super steady, and it can record 4k 60. Not to mention the ultrawide in the s10 plus is much wider compared to the p30 pro

@@TheSeetwo Apart from this video not being about the p30pro you should still check the comparison videofootage here. p30 shakes like parkinson, and in low light the videos are excessivly noisy. Even now, with multiple updates, the videoquality is subpar. How the p30pro fares with these factors I dont know, but you seem conviced by it which is notable.

@@ruk2227 I have finally decided to go for the S10e. Because I have finally known what is the most important thing about a smartphone. Its size. S10e has what I call a 'Perfect' size. It is as big as it can get as a wide screen phone, and also as small as a TRUE phone. Bigger sizes should be considered a 'tab', and it is very hard to hold in your hand, to carry around in your pocket, etc.
