still love this phone, I'm on my 2nd one now. Not many phones have good reception in my house, plus I like it's sound quality, sturdiness and fingerprintsensor/home button.

I bought the P9 2 months ago... The battery is amazing and so is the performance. Only thing I do not like is the speaker, the camera (I expected it to be better). Should have wait for the P10

Doesn't Huawei also use Foxcon to make the shells just as apple does? Seems like a good cost saving measure, and more $ for apple too if they licensed the shell design.

Joshua glad I watched your review and will view it again, I like your advice on how to get the best HDR shot. On another note, I wanted to offer you feedback on the video production, the interior head shot lighting gave your skin tone an unusually yellow cast. In addition to being a bit dark of a background. Maybe it was the color temperature of your light source?

Slick looking phone and a beast .. I been using p9 for 8 months now and it never slow down . Looking forward to get my hands on this new huawei device. I personally like the blue one . Good job huawei ..

If it has dual stereo speakers and a UI much closer to android stock, it would be perfect

Melbourne Dauz EMUI is pretty nice. I am used to the stock feel as a long time Nexus/Moto X user. But I recently started using g the Honor 8 and I'm really impressed. I still haven't installed a third party launcher and feel no need to do so

I went into my networks store and the guy talked about this phone, as I said that I used camera, and I mentioned the LG G6 too, and he let me have a try at both phones. So glad I went with the G6, so much more exciting

why not show a comparison between the 2 cameras in low light conditions? and also no mention of the stereo speakers on the Plus

These honestly look better than the both iPhones.

Love the way the review was made: consistent and competent with a sweet shots of the phone, so I already wish I owned it, despite all the cons were mentioned. Maybe because of that hypnotic narrator voice? Who knows, but thumbs up for a great review, epesially to Joshua!

Hi i have a few questions about heat on the phone. I know it gets hot when gaming most phones do but is it dangerously hot for the phone? Like it can decrese performance? And does it get warm when doing basic things? Like cheking facebook, settings, using flaslight and talking on the phone? But also does it get warm or stay cold when you charge it without using it?

I was considering this phone but I think I made a good decision getting the OnePlus 3T since I have been using iPhone for 6years I didn't have to adjust as much because of the location of the lock screen button and the volume.

How does this work if Im in the USA and purchased the Australian variant or any other variant really since it's not available in the USA. How will the manufacturer warranty plays out?

Hi Josh, i want to ask you a question regarding the push notifications on the P10 plus. I realized that if i cleared out the background app before hitting the power button to off the screen, i will not be receiving any notifications from any apps (e.g whatsapp etc). I have tried to look for a solution and also tried most of them, still no avail. Any help for this ? cheers.

You should do a separate video for P10 and P10 plus cameras. Because they have different lenses.

What he said about consumers needing to use manual settings to get the best possible photo will always be the case especially with smartphone cameras.

If anybody is looking for a phone with a great camera, I recommend buying this phone. I am beyond amazed by the camera and how fast easy it is to unlock the phone with the home button. Finger print sensor is very good and it's the best phone I've ever had, and I've had mannny!!!

In case you missed the mwc event they mentioned that the Plus version is water resistant. Haven't found any reviewer yet to test it out. and why are the selfie photos a bit blurry? were the lens clean? or you just have shaky hands. 😀

Used to have the P10 Plus, and I have a few things to say about it. - Terrible battery life - Mobile hotspot only works if the phone's screen remained on. If the screen is off, then the hotspot also turned off as well. - Phone overheats when playing games. The one I bought is probably a defected one, bought from a store called PC Mag, not a Huawei store. And I did bought for a for a discount of MYR1000.

You left out the release date! I want the P10 Plus, ever since you mentioned that it works flawlessly on T-Mobile, I must have it! I missed out on getting the Midnight edition of the OnePlus 3T, but this phone might be the one for me.

It's 2021 and my P10 is still going strong!

To be fair, many times bokeh effect blurs out parts of the subject on expensive SLR's too. That's why often it's better if you stop down your aperture.

The P10 Plus has a 2K screen? But... that's barely better than 1080p. In fact, 1080p is nearly the same as 2K. Did you mean 1440p?

Great review. I just have one question please: You mentioned that NFC works on this phone. Are you able to use it for Android Pay? I have read that contact-less payments made with NFC will only work on phones locked to the Carrier. Is this true? If I buy an unlocked Android phone, say the Huawei P10 Plus or Honor 8 Pro and put an AT&T sim in it, will I be able to use Android Pay to make purchases? Thanks for your assistance.

Richard Schnatterly I don't see why you couldn't. I use an unlocked op3 in the UK for android pay and it isn't in anyway attached to your SIM it uses your NFC and then banking info you put in.

Well, not quite as the total reason. Color Cast has a bit of Yellow push. In any case, the Huawei is very important to get that mid range Smartphone market amped up a bit. The Camera just sneaks under the best such as the S7. DXOmark and Dpreview tests. I think maybe the P11 or later maybe on my radar though. Very impressive. On my S7 for a while due to my contract.
