Id still take the power house that is Dell G5 series, its good value and can do much more for productivity and gaming sure its a bit bulky but if I wanted thin and light with productivity id just go apple considering the prices of the xps lineup are the same as apple macbooks.

@@ProblemanMx I actually using ps3 eye camera as my webcam for my desktop. its 1080p 60fps but my phone is probably better. the reason Im using the camera is its location. now matebook suck on that too but its same thing with phone, I want the camera to be above my face.

I have the original Matebook X Pro from a few years ago, and I gotta say, I still absolutely love this machine! I don't do anything too intensive, so the i5 model has suited my needs wonderfully. The screen is great for consuming media and doing everyday tasks, the speakers are loud and clear, the touchpad is smooth and responsive, and I get anywhere from 7 to 10 hours on a charge depending on usage. If you're in the market for a new laptop for average usage, you cannot go wrong with this one!

@@calogerobellomo6671 hi, unfortunately I'm not really sure. I use my computer mostly for internet, microsoft office, and some light games. But, if you're looking to do more graphics-intensive work, you may be better off with the i7 model since it has a dedicated GPU.

I bumped on the way out of the room and it made a dent in the door and had some paint stuck on the outer shell (I scratch of the white paint of the door easily)

Got the D14 2020. Great laptop! Really happy with it

I like the Matebook X Pro although I would like a 15" version with the latest Nvidia Geforece MX450, as for the rest, what's not to like ?

Still delighted with my original specced out Matebook X Pro that I've imported from the States (before it was available in the UK). Good to see they are iterating on it as it was hands down the best laptop in my research and I don't regret buying it for a second. Highly recommend

Been using these Huawei Matebook pro laptops since 2018 models and i would recommend if you need the GeForce MX250 graphics then look elsewhere for a different laptop. The cooling really isn't very good for those models and a lot of people get failures/BSOD due to the heat issues. If you go for the i5 or i7 models with just the intel graphics then these laptops are stella. Very good indeed. You really are taking your chances with the Nvidia models tho and they won't last as many years as the Intel models before you have problems. The small bump in graphics performance you get from the Nvidia models just isn't worth the trade-off of longevity.

As an owner of the 2018 Matebook X Pro, I must say this series is very reliable and great for almost any task, as I surf the web, type, game, and light video edit. My generation has an MX150, but that is enough for me, and I am building a desktop PC for myself now. The MX25” is a nice touch. Does anyone know if they changed the Thunderbolt 3 port from a half speed to a full speed? That was one sore point for me. I can still get 1080p at 144hz, but it is still very frustrating.

I got my MateBook D14 4 weeks ago. A comparison between these 2 would be quite interesting.

great for content creator and some light gaming i love that they include a adapter but i doesn't have a full size sd card so you'll have to buy another adapter and i personally really don't care about the touch screen and it would be better if they lower the price in my opinion they are great for business kind of stuff. I would prefer choosing xps 15 or 17 lol ..

I can't wait for your review on the new matebook 13 as that's all I can afford!

Wow. It has a charger wich u can use to charge ur phone and transfer data. Dolby atmos speakers, 4 of them and especially the camera. Camera on keyboard is next level design. The quality is great.

Hey Chap, Any plans to review Matebook 13 2020 model? Would be great if you could do that.... Specs are very close to X pro 2020, other than the battery, but huge saving as far as the price is concerned.

I have had a few Huawei phones and they were decent. Criket used to carry them.

I have the 2018 i7 version. I really like the screen, keyboard and sound. Not a huge fan of the trackpad and it does struggle with some of the creative cloud apps.

Yes! Some people don't like the horizontal black bars when watching 16:9 videos. But if the laptop's got black bezels (which most of them do) they are not even noticeble.

I have the 2018 version, did they fix the touchpad rattle on this new 2020 model? And also a fix for the fan being noisy whenever the charger is plugged in for more than 10 minutes? Thats mostly my only complaints for the 2018 version..... and also the "average" battery life since its a 3k screen

I have the matebook x pro 2018 model. It's a fantastic laptop, but when the fan comes on there is a really annoying whine that accompanies it. Not sure if my model is broken or if this applies to all matebook x pro laptops?

I have a huawei laptop and having huawei share is great as I can then connect my phone to my laptop wirelessly enabling me to check my phone without getting it out my pocket

I have a Huawei matebook pro X, had a slight jar- dropping maybe a foot from bed to thick carpet, wouldn't think it would've done much damage but it's now completely "dead". I only get a single flash of the power light when I hit the hard power on... No screen, options etc. I've found little to no information about how/where to go about repairing.. Any suggestions? Between this Huawei macbook x pro 2020 and the Huawei matebook 14 2020, which one would you choose, the x pro has a mx 250 graphic and the matebook 14 2020 mx 350. Is there much improvement in the graphics? In other words, do you notice the difference when editing videos with the premiere and playing games?

I have the Huawei 2016 matebook X pro it a great laptop I would think about upgrading to the 2020 X Pro , you cover ever point of the laptop and I think it does need another fan and DDR4 it would be great with a AMD chip.

Hi I write from Italy, I have purchased matebook 13 ryzen for a week .. fantastic for my use ... the real problem is the fan ... the fan has three automatic operating levels according to the load and temperature .. the problem is the low load that starts from about 39 ° C upwards .. the PC emits an annoying hum which in a silent environment becomes really annoying (it seems the autoclave motor) ... the problem that this temperature, even if low, is reached with web page open, onenote and word ... is this normal or is my unit defective? admitted that the PC is set to start the fans even at low load, is it normal that it emits this annoying hum? the hum stops when the temperature reaches 36/37 ° C. have you also encountered this problem with your units? is normal?

i got the matebook x pro and do some light video editing the heat is ridiculous. Is it my laptop problem or all are the same

@@elaizamonica I have the 2018 matebook bro. It's a pretty great laptop: light, compact, very fast and capable for daily use with great battery life. I love 3000 x 2000 pixel touch screen - arguably the best on any windows laptop. The only thing I hate is the webcam positioning which makes it harder for other people too see your face during a video call.

A warning to anyone who wants this laptop. Mine arrived today and first thing I did was test the temperatures. While I can't say it lags in use even when heavily thermal throttling, it throttles very easily and quickly. Granted its hot weather in the UK at the moment however, the whole laptop gets hot, and extremely hot to the touch in some spots. I had intended to undervolt it too but intel have blocked undervolting completely on the latest gen of intel chips so that's been a spanner in the works. Itd be a great laptop if it had proper cooling but its really bad. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

update: it throttles at 70 degrees. 5ghz cpu running at 800-1200mhz on all cores with the fan on full and running runescape 3 :'D. (I swear im just using rs3 as a 3d graphics - i promise.) :'D.

I've had issues too. First two days was horrible and same issues as yours. But after I did all the windows updates. All the driver updates and updates from PC manager it has calmed down. On battery I'm seeing 37-42 degrees light use. On power it heats up more but I found out that if you bring the battery slider for performance down to better battery rather than best performance this helps. Give it a try let me know how you get on please. I haven't pushed the laptop too hard yet however and mostly been on battery. Have you tried undervolting using the latest setting on the matebook redit page?

@@alibelindir2342 interesting... undervolting has been removed by intel for all cpus now =\ I had intended to undervolt but of course, this. For me, the temps stay in the 70s (heats up super quick...) but just thermal throttles. As soon as it uses the IGPU it goes into meltdown.
