Great tips, Chris. I just got the Mate 20 Lite as a "freebie" from Huawei when I bought their new 13 inch Matebook laptop. (Not a bad deal!) So this Mate 20 Lite is just for playing around for me... I am impressed with the quality of the camera but only under bright "sunny day" conditions. As soon as it's overcast, however, the photos become ridiculously dark with apparently no "tap the viewfinder to adjust the exposure" slider bar (like my Samsung Galaxy S7 has). The Samsung is great in this regard... Just tap the screen and a slider bar pops up to adjust the lighting. ... There seems to be no simple solution with the Mate 20 Lite, however. It has a ridiculously complex camera menu that gives some controls over f-stops and the like... but these (even if they might work) are impossible to get to "in a flash" (no pun intended). I can't even be sure messing with those settings would lighten up the exposure. Odd that Huawei includes a goofy "create a moving avatar" option in the camera menu (ya... like I would EVER need that) but gives no simple way to adjust the exposure level "on the fly". Am I missing something? In your little dance of death with the Mate 20 Lite, did you find any easily accessible way to adjust shot exposure level?

That's nice and all but did u know that you could turn off the flashlight when your screen is off by pressing the volume down button. Unfortunately now when you do that it thinks that you want to use quick call.

Search for Emui themes on the Play Store you'll find many dark themes

Although the quick load camera feature seems like a great idea. The quality of the picture compared to one you focus etc yourself is distinctly lacking in quality. The camera on the phone is otherwise amazing but I would advise against using it this way

Dont buy it. I love huawei but this phone have software lags. Like animations lagging and apps like :messanger, instagram are lagging. Sometimes chat head from Messanger get stuck into notch. Headphones for this phone is so low and useless.

If you open settings, display text size and change the text size. This will also change the icon size.

Anyone who has a ghosting screen too on the Mate 20 lite? Have it a month now and the latest opened Apps makes a ghost screen when I'm open the camera or the home screen. When I make a photo I see letters from Facebook and KZread or other apps...

It's a bit less premium. Has 2h50ish charge time (no usb-c). 100 less price. Single selfie camera. And a bit less features and the screen is 6.5". Same processor so its battery life is pretty great.

I believe it's only the SNE-LX1 version that has NFC. The other two do not have NFC.

With the face recognition system I found it pretty good in the dark cuse the screen lights up a little bit more so it can still see ur face

I think it's because those notifications might be private so it's hidden if the phone is locked

Security & Privacy > Face Unlock > Smart Lock Screen Notifications (enable). You might also want to choose Slide to Unlock rather than Direct Unlock for Face Unlock.

I hate it if I play a game and I need 2 fingers and touch the screen with 2 fingers at the same time then dragging the delay is so much to drag it if I walk in games and I want to aim the aim is fujes up I can't aim and walk what the fuck is that ._.

They advertised that this phone has nfc. But it doesn't. Makes this phone as useful as a flip phone.
