The only pro it has over the mate 10 is IP67. Everything else it claims to be superior in is subjective.

Yea, I’m with you...higher resolution, sd card, 16:9 ratio, front fingerprint sensor, headphone jack. I guess some people don’t find those as advantages, but I prefer each one of those that I mentioned. I actually prefer lcd over amoled as well, but I realize I’m probably in the minority.

Archer Casio I ditched my xz premium for the mate 10. Far better pics and comfort. I had the worst time texting with the xz also. The screen isn’t as responsive and not very bright.

I'm interested in the mate 10 pro....just having a hard time figuring out the release date

Qualcomm have had dedicated ai chipset before Huawei's npu. I wish the reviews sites would actually read the soc detail, not just repeat marketing blurb.

Mate 10, because of large number of shooting modes and features including night mode, wide aperture, hybrid zooming, light painting effects etc... LG V30 has really good manual control but the thing is that the sensor is pretty trash with its quite terrible dynamic range and low signal-to-noise ratio(It's decent in auto though) But Note 8, iPhone 8 and Google Pixel 2 are equally great and might have better stabilisation when recording videos.

Still one of the best mobile camera is in LUMIA 950. But for more money there are Samsung S8/+, Iphone X, LG V30 and Pixel 2XL. Mate 10 pro is close but it is not good as named. Mate 10 pro has dead-sih colors, and it is bad in video rec.

Huawei need to improve it's OS skin

i miss the days when phone displays are shorter yet wider. Now all the phones where too tall and narrow

Out of all modern phones of today, only the ones from Sony made sense because of cinema movies. Anything between 16:9 to 21:9 just doesn't make any sense.

The problem with Huawei isn't the phones, they are awesome, I loved my Mate 8 and still love my Mate 9 but the problem is service. I travel a lot for work and unlike Samsung and Apple who have service centers in all corners of the globe it is extremely hard to get service for Huawei in most places in the world and even in many States in the US. It is a sad disappointment for me because I actually really like the devices but I probably won't buy another because when things do go wrong there just isn't any service. I'm currently working in Hanoi and their is a service center here but they told me they won't service my Mate 9 because they don't sell that specific model in Vietnam. Super lame. The girl in the shop actually told me to fly to Taiwan to get service. That was her actual suggestion. Even after I offered to pay for the shipment of the needed parts and service from China to Vietnam, (literal neighbors), she still said she wouldn't help and I should fly to Taiwan or Hong Kong. For that cost I can just buy a new phone, likely not a Huawei unfortunately.
