He had to take time at the beginning to get in the right frame of mind to put this across. He is known for his Rapping, so to take an original Rap song by Jay Chou, and turn it into a monologue was a risk. But... Wow, it worked. You focus more on the words because he is speaking...directly to you. I've never got through it without 😭, and I've never experienced this. This should be used around the world to hit home to Domestic Abusers and their victims.

The original is composed by Jay Chou and was released in 2001. Hua apparently didn't go through the legal procedures because the video got taken down for using another artist's intellectual property. The original version has been a classic for the last 22 years, so it's kind of frustrating to see people react to this and think that Hua Chenyu wrote it.

This was originally a rap song by Jay Chou. After this he asked HuaHua not to do any more of his songs. He lets everyone else do them, but not HuaHua. I'm sure that's because this was such an improvement over the original. It was a big hit for JC, but no one paid attention to the lyrics. It wasn't Jay's story; it was told to him by a drunk friend. He wrote it with good intentions, but it was a toe tapper so no one registered the topic. When HuaHua did it, it really made an impact. Many reactors and audience members cried, and there were a few people in the audience praying for him. They thought it had happened to him. One reactor left the room and came back with a help line number written on poster board. You should have been warned that it would hit hard. I still cry every time I hear it. Hua Hua cried through the rehearsal and had tears in his eyes throughout the performance. I don't know how he held it together. He wrote only the last line. Excellent reaction. You have a good heart. If you reacted to Fake Monk, and I know you did, THAT was him singing the feeling of his childhood. No abuse, just creepy frightening loneliness.

The original song is composed by Jay Chou. He has every right to tell him not to use the music, even if it's re-arranged, he's still using a melody that was composed by Jay Chou. Also, how do you know Jay told him not to use any more of his songs? Do you have evidence of this? Btw, you saying this is better than the original is just subjective. I personally think Jay's version is better. Hua needs to stop using covers to gain his fame and perform songs the he composed himself. It's infuriating to hear people only hear this version and not hear the original.

@@lachousalle31 Sorry, I don't remember where I read or heard it. You can disregard it if you want. Also, of course JC can do whatever he wants with his own music. Finally, HuaHua didn't use this song to gain fame. It was assigned to him during a contest. He seldom does covers these days. BTW A huge number of the songs you listen to are covers, you just never heard the original. Older people know them.
