When we had a pet rabbit, I would often eat a cob without butter, salt, pepper, or paprika (my usual combination) and give the remainder of the cob to the bunny. He would gnaw it down to the very core. He also liked apple cores. Our sheltie loves hot sauce (she's my wife's dog and eats anything my wife will). I give her the spiced up corn cobs and she (the dog, not my wife) will chew on one for hours. Most dog foods are loaded with corn meal so it can't be bad for them.
