citizenship charges are $ 345.00 at this time.

One of the reasons I think is that people don't prefer citizenship is because after getting that they need to get OCI card. And as an OCI you can not sell or buy property in India. People do not want that.

Who told you can't buy a property?? With OIC, you can do any financial transactions at par with Indian citizens. Only you can't vote and purchase agricultural land.

I agree Canada is good.

Smart people move to tax free or low tax regime countries, like UAE, middle east, Singapore, Hong-Kong etc etc. Canadian passport holds barely any significance, if you are a successful person, any country will happily give u visa. Canada unfortunately has attracted more low quality students and workers in past decade or so and they are facing the consequences of rise in crime, joblessness etc.

90% of Canadian Sikhs only visit India even Canadian Passport can travel everywhere. I had traveled to Canada. CBD Toronto is like housing estate of HongKong. People who have not traveled to most of Asia only loves Canada. Asia has low crime rate. Asia is best.

In Canada, there is thinking tank that makes the policies, not Gov't. Student system, point system, work permit all are policies start in Conservative Government. Let see in next 10 years, Canada will be worse country bcz they don't have anything to boost economy. Canada is totally depends on US. If you want to invest money and wants good quality of life than Mauritius is best option.

Most people want to go back or go back belongs to Eastern European countries because they don't like fast-paced life in North America. Asian, South American, Africans are ready to die for entry.
