I don't think anyone really cares about the symtoms, while yes they can be.. annoying, it's really the spreading that is on the mind of people. It's the rejection we often get when relationships are going perfectly and then you get to that stage where you need to make that discussion and get ghosted. It's the guilt of having the stigma associated with an STD. I've slept with 3 people in my life, i was just unlucky. I'm sure that's the story with many of you as well.

Eu me importo e muito! Não sei como é em homens, mas quando eclode do lado da genitália de uma mulher é horrível. Minha vida mudou drasticamente desde que adquiri herpes do meu parceiro sexual, eu era virgem e não tinha problemas algum, não tinha limitações e agora quase sempre o vírus eclode e incomoda porque coça, doem as lesões e elas não somem rapidamente, ficam quase uma semana a depender da situação. Sem falar que eu não gosto da idéia de poder transmitir pra alguém, sempre doei sangue e agora preciso ficar verificando se esse vírus está ativo ou não. Vivo com medo de transmitir a minha família porque sou muito distraída. O pior não é o julgamento das pessoas, e sim conviver com o vírus da herpes toda hora reativando.

I think what he’s saying is when it comes to a cure… The physical pain is temporary, while the fear of spreading the virus along with the stigma and real or perceived rejection in dating are more impactful on the quality of one’s life. I can deal with a little physical pain every now and then… But the way the virus has wrecked my Ability to have normal intimate relationships and the way that’s tied into my emotional wellbeing has severely negatively impacted my life. A little annoying and painful outbreak every now and then is the least of my worries.

Desde que adquiri eu tomo aciclovir durante o período de tempo recomendado pelo médico e aí as lesões somem, daí pouco tempo depois as lesões surgem novamente. Tomei alguns suplementos para aumentar minha imunidade, porém mesmo assim o vírus reativa. Tenho usado aminoácidos lisina também, mas mesmo assim ainda tenho reincidências, mas ajudou bastante a diminuir a frequência com que o vírus fica reativando, este ano de 2024 ele já reativou mais de uma vez e antes de tomar as vitaminas e o aminoácidos a frequência com que o vírus reativava era maior, véspera de menstruação ele reativava, pouco tempo depois de fazer o tratamento por uma semana usando aciclovir ele voltava a ficar ativo. Passei praticamente todo o ano de 2023 tendo crise desde que meu parceiro sexual me passou isso. Uma leve gripe faz o vírus ativar, uma pequena dor de ouvido faz ele ativar. É horrível! Isso tudo é novo na minha vida, mas se tornou um pesadelo recorrente.

They are DNA viruses and end up in the nervous system so to actually remove it completely don't you either have to locate and cut it away (safely ...) from DNA in the cells or kill the cells but in this case that would be killing nervous system cells? To keep it at bay maybe. Seem more likely with a vaccine to fight it hopefully before it get far.

I just turned 23 and found out acouple months ago I have HSV-2. My girlfriend got tested a month into our relationship and found out her ex gave it to her and then gave it to me. It’s been six months with her. She doesn’t have out breaks but I have them every month. Life is hard now I don’t trust her because I think she lied and trapped me. As far as I’m concerned, yeah a cure would be nice but I don’t feel like that’s something that is so prevalent. I think the issue is the prospect of transmitting to an uninfected person. I wish there was a way to make it essentially undetectable similar to the hiv virus. It really isn’t deteriorating for a positive person. But the mental strain of passing infection is the worse part.

My parents gave me oral hsv1 when I was 5 or younger. Before college, I only remember getting a handful of outbreaks total. In fact, I didn’t get a single one in high school. During college and early working years, I would probably get 3 outbreaks annually. Around the age of 30, the virus started acting differently. It stopped breaking out on my mouth and started breaking out on my nose. Well, the first time that happened, I had really bad itching on my nose. Not knowing it was an outbreak, I scratched my nose and spread it to my hand. Most of my 30s I continued to have breakouts in my nose, but AFAIK, I only had the one outbreak on my hand. About 3 years ago, the virus reactivated on my arm, and before I realized it was there, I auto inoculated myself again. Since then, my outbreaks have gotten more and more frequent and have spread all over my body, auto inoculation just by performing daily activities (bathing, grooming, using the bathroom, etc). Now, I’m breaking out somewhere every couple days. The virus won’t go dormant. I eat well, take supplements, don’t drink, don’t smoke, walk, and try to get plenty of sleep, but it doesn’t matter. Doctors are willfully ignorant about this virus, and they refuse to look into why I breakout constantly or why it’s spreading so easily. This virus has completely ruined my life. I can’t perform daily activities, I can’t play with young family members, can’t have friends. I’m 41 years old, no woman has ever wanted me, and now I can’t ever expect one to. If a cure doesn’t happened within 5 years, my life will essentially be over, if it isn’t before that. I have little faith we’ll actually get one, but if we do, it will be a dangerous and useless em.ar.en.aye “cure,” which I won’t trust, and won’t get. I’m also worried about losing my vision from ocular outbreaks and developing a neurodegenerative disease like Alzheimer’s, MS, Or ALS because of this virus.

I want the vaccine and support this cause. There are many like me that have herpes simplex type 1 in your eye called keratitis dendratic eye. And it's the numer 1 cause of blindness in America and other countries. It's painful; It's devastating. I got this working with kids at a preschool. There are kids with HSV-1 and children cross contaminate. So, it is a health hazard for safety and other children. I feel the government needs to make this a priority. I get break outs all the time and it has damaged my cornea. We need more support and awarness. This is highly contagious, even if you are asyntomatic.

Help find a cure for HSV 1 & 2. Currently on meds for hsv 2. This sucks a lot there’s so much rejection.

This is a frustrating video. Your talking a lot about the business of research and barely use much medical language. I've had HSV2 for 20 years. I've been in remission for 3 months out of 20 years. Those 3 months in Valcylivar until my kidneys couldn't take it. I've been in active seating burning itching pain for a solid 19 years and 9 months of active Herpes. I'm naturopathic and done the Lysine thymus support etc. I get extremely upset when people keep saying. " Most people don't know they have it. I've almost had to go to hospital for IV Antivirals so most of us are NOT people who barely know they have it. I haven't slept well I'm 20 years because My HSV2 is never in remission. I've given up on getting help I'm geriatric and running out of time to get a Dam shot to get me in remission. ,,!!!! I've given up. And any virus can kill you. I'm fighting alone not letting HSV2 kill me, till then much torture

I think when doing clinic trails . Test the asymptomatic candidates as well. Not just the worse cases. I'm for sure you all will find the answers soon

@@marciano2680são muitos processos, se realmente funcionar no corpo humano e sem muitos efeitos colaterais acredito que será mais rápido a aprovação da FDA, mas os testes clínicos precisam começar logo. Se tudo ocorrer bem acredito que nesse tempo esteja disponível nos EUA, até chegar no Brasil irá demorar mais, mas se vc tiver condição pode comprar sua passagem e ir se vacinar lá.
