    Many thanks. Putting the words in a sentence helps understand the meaning of the word better. Also I like the first natural speed of reading the sentence and the slowed down version to help to get to grips with the reading. The English translation at the end rounds off the understanding of each word. You have put in a lot of hard work to produce this lesson and I am thankful for your help.

    please explain the use of 要 in the sentence at 46:52.

  • @EverydayEasyChinese

    @EverydayEasyChinese

    3 жыл бұрын

    Great question! 要 in this context means "going to" and suggests that the speaker has a plan to do something. You normally use it in this sentence structure: Subject + Time + 要 + Verb (我明天要去中国 I am going to China tomorrow). Hope this helped!

    Yes that's right :) In this example, 什么 is not an interrogative word anymore but means "any" or "something". Another example can be 你要喝点什么吗? Would you like to drink anything? Hope this helps!

    我们在谈生意。我讨厌公共汽车。别提了。这让我积累很多工作经验。明天你在哪里聚会。我在美国生活五年了。请通知大家来开会。我很羡慕你。我不能陪你你去图书馆了。他们计划明年举办婚礼。我来不及吃早餐。我从没降低过自己的要求。听说吃巧克力能使人心情变得愉快。你喜欢躺在床上看是吗。这本书值得买。
