Hi. Every position has same kinda rounds. First WRITTEN followed by VALUE BASED ASSESSMENT and then TECH & HR.

i am so much confused my joining is on 5th April they send me offer letter on 7 th March and asked all the documents and now i am waiting for their background verification I am worried will they will give me any notice that ur bcv is cleared or any update before 5th so that i know that i am now finally a part of hsbc ? Otherwise after 5th they can say bring this doc or fired ...or they will send a revised offer letter before the joining date so that we know everything is sorted

Hello. I have applied through the company website. Fresher or experienced, both will have same rounds. Firstly, aptitude followed by value assessment and then tech & hr. Tech Interview will be based on ur resume and as u r experienced you will need to describe the projects ur worked in ur previous org and some real time scenarios. Then you will receive HR call which would be smooth if u had done prior research on this company.

Hi. U should've probably mentioned ur address in all the forms ryt!!! So they sure have ur address & you'll get notified through sms when ur kit get dispatched and u can see the delivery person contact info through the link they send. For me, I received after 2 months, not sure when u will be getting!!!

That might be because a number of organizations are turning to cloud solutions based on IBM i environments, and so are not counted as having their own data centers based on IBM i. (That's just speculation, though. From my own experience, our IBM i cloud offerings are a robust line of business and growing everyday!). No. of organizations are planning to increase their IBM i footprint, and many are also moving applications to IBM i, typically in a hybrid cloud setup. So there are as many companies who will be looking for IBM i talent and expertise as there are leaving the platform-indeed, maybe more so. So is there a future in this technology? YES-IBM continues to develop the hardware and software, they have a forward looking roadmap, and organizations are continuing to buy it. But the real question is, should you invest more time into staying up-to-date on this environment? That's an emphatic yes with no reservations in saying so. Service providers continue to enhance and grow skills in this arena and can help companies stay active on the platform where needed. Tip : Also If u r a fresher, u cannot choose the technology. Whatever technology is given to u when u enter ur first job; becomes ur core area/domain. But, if u have done specific courses then, yes of course even the companies which recruit freshers give u the priority and engage u in those technologies which u already have an idea about. Also, after an year or so, u can definitely ask ur reporting managers to change their domain and technology. Freshers should try to get into a niche technology so that they have a high demand in long run.

Hi. As of i know, PostgreSQL is a good Object-Relational DBMS. Considering it's open source status, the community support is awesome. It is not a bad choice, and also most companies like Netflix, Instagram, Uber and many more use this DB in their tech stacks becoz of its ability to handle mutliple data though this DB would be extended in future.... just go with it ,u never know, u might explore new technologies. All the best..

Hi. I could've helped u with some imp quests if it is mainframes Or java. Bt one things is fr sure - u will be asked only basic quests regarding python and ML and sql. Apart frm that, u might face some scenario based quests and sql codes frm SQL like joins , primary, secondary, foreign keys, deadlock, and some sql codes and how to resolve that sql code.

I'm not sure about the role u r going to have but hsbc stands tall in one of the top 10 banks of the world (by their total assets), which you could take pride in. And in many more aspects like work-life balance, salary... Surely it does benefit ur profile.

They will, Hsbc will notify 2months prior to the employees regarding this. Most of them (permanent resources) who are convenient were already going to ofc based on hybrid model.

Because my background verification was not done, so they delayed. It happens with many candidates. Don't wry if you got offer letter, then you'll be on-board definitely. Congratulations 🎉

Overall 10 SLs will be allotted & it depends, if u r really not well and u need some sick leaves u can talk with your TL/Line manager accordingly.

Yes.Believe me it doesn't matter whether you are from an IT background or Mechanical or civil or any else....they will train you within three months of training program. Well it also depends on your vision about your career how you have projected after completion of your degree. Here I imagine you have completed your btech already. If you are looking for a great career opportunities in TCS, there will be no hurdles and no can stop you to grow upto the heights. Your personality will improve but make sure you are in good project. There is transparency and no one is going to ask your graduation branch in TCS and your skill set will only work.

Well, u have to be strong in logical and verbal areas to clear the written test and coming to interviews , just C , C++ & a little knowledge of java is enough to crack it but u have to be strong in communication skills & have to be confident. Also u have to give a valid reason behind shifting to IT.
