HS2 HAMS HALL TO WATER ORTON DELTA JUNCTION - 4K DJI MINI 4 PRO DRONE

Up in the sky over HS2 in Hams Hall Distribution Park in Coleshill Birmingham with my DJI Mini 4 Pro Drone in 4K .
Today's flying conditions were frosty with patches of fog and then the sun rising through the patches all giving the start of footage a moody appearance . There are numerous National Grid pylons everywhere so another hazard to watch out for when flying .
Must admit I do like the views of the pylons in the footage looks cool I think.
My flight takes you down from Hams Hall and the Water Orton Viaduct - Delta Junction /M42 can be seen in the distance .
After this I take a closer look at the Water Orton Site and across the M42 where HS2 will head for the Bromford Tunnel located on the side of the M6 motorway .
From Hams Hall to Water Orton is around a 3 mile drive in a car .
Thanks as always for watching .

The void at 0.6 seconds was filled with 6500 tonnes of concrete on Friday night

These HS2 sites just amaze me the sheer size of them all and the complex nature of the civil engineering that’s going on at each one of them . Boy thats a lot of concrete Ben thanks for your comment very informative.😊

it's not everyone's idea of beauty but the viaduct will be magnificent.......I pass by regularly. I do find the footage hard to follow, it's only when I see a landmark building I realise where I am....

I can't imagine the original plans on screen/blueprint, and the logistics of such a huge project over so many sites, massive 😮 .. your series of films is a fantastic record of the work involved .. smooth flying as always Buzz 😎👍😃

In theory DH I’m documenting a part of British history. In many years to come people will look back at these videos and wonder at the shear length of construction that went on to get this up and running. Thanks for your wicked comment DH 😊

The reasons why HS2 is taking a long time to build and at an escalating cost are because everything is threaded in between the existing infrastructure. And everytime it's built over a road, railway or river the contractors have to go through a lengthy approvals process. Then there are services diversions, unforeseen ground conditions and thousands of planning conditions to comply with.

An incredible piece of civil engineering, and all we're seeing so far are the supports for the viaducts ! In fact there is an enomous amount of HS2 work in and around this area.

Do you not see the massive motorway right there? All the land gone yet the railway is barely as wide as 2-3 lanes of it and this is what you complain about? Idiot.
