The new testament claims to be based on the tanach which are the Jewish holy scriptures yet contradicts the tanach every chance it gets. The lies told are that g-d is human and there are 4 gods in one and that an innocent human can be sacrificed for the guilty person's sin and xtianity claims the Messiah has come and will return when the clearly there is still war and all sorts of sin when Isaiah 2:4 tells us he rebukes the nations and it causes world peace. It's not hard you just have to read and be honest with yourself.

@@red2thebone What I love the most about Rabbi Tuvia is that he is the first Rabbi that I know of that is reaching out to the world to bring people back to God. My feelings (not based on any teachings) is that the Jewish nation was meant to do that from the start. I think if more Rabbis and more jews do what he is doing, the end of the Jewish suffering will begin. So to me, what he is doing is a huge miracle

It’s a bit of a lazy comparison, but how I view it is if a group of people started worshipping Neville from Harry Potter and claiming that Neville was the true chosen one and that JK Rowling was wrong about HP being the chosen one. The idea of the messiah was a strictly Jewish belief. The Torah tells us how we can know if someone is a messiah. It also tells us that if it is difficult to tell, then the sages will declare them a messiah or not. God gives them the power to declare who is or isn’t a messiah. So you essentially have the people who have the power and authority to declare someone a messiah or not saying Jesus is not a messiah, and then non Jews telling Jews they are wrong about their religion. To be honest, it’s pretty insulting.

@@wb3731 The original disciples were still Jewish in that the followed the Torah and did not worship Jesus as being God. No were in Mathew, Mark, or Luke do they ever claim that Jesus claimed to be God. There’s a big difference between believing Jesus was going to be their new King and deliver them from Roman rule, and believing that Jesus was actually God and that he was a human sacrifice. It was not until Paul that Christianity became a separate religion and that Christians started believing in the idea of human sacrifice and that Jesus was part of a trinity with God. Yes, Paul seems to be Jewish, but he rejects practically everything about Judaism. He rejects the Torah and rejects major beliefs of Judaism.

I am an Ex-Catholic, now born again Atheist, after reading the new and old testament. Also, Fact…. everyone of us are born Atheists until we get indoctrinated, but If I would have to choose between Judaism or Christianity, I would hands down choose Judaism, Christianity makes absolutely no sense whatsoever ! Well I got to say I wasn't born an Atheist. Though I don't remember when I was born but I do remember when I was 1 year old so close enough. I knew of a higher power, a Creator, but I didn't know what to call it back then. That wouldn't come to be until later but even as such a young child I could "sense" certain beings including our Creator. I know, crazy lol.

Allowing Christians to define the mashiach, is like allowing the French to define a cowboy. It’s just plain wrong.

Good to see the Aussies take up the Good Fight.

Doing a debate is difficult and that bell...😳 It felt like there were many points that Sam brought up that were not satisfactorily addressed, there just wasn’t enough time. And, in the closing statements, Tovia touched on “geometric thinking” and lost me completely. It’s a blessing to have access to a rabbi who speaks English and has massive knowledge of both the Hebrew and Christian Scriptures. It’s very satisfying to watch Rabbi Tovia Singer debate a Christian apologist (when not having to sprint) 😊

For those still in doubt, which presentation actually makes sense ? The only thing missing from the Cristian narrative was the minister asking for money or “tithes” from the audience. Thank you Rabbi for bringing the truth to light.

I love what Tovia said about if Christianity being self defeating. If the New Testament is true, then the OT cannot be true - which means the NT cannot be true ether. But, if The OT is true, then the NT cannot be true. Once I was able to truly understand that, it was liberating and gave me the ability to have a deeper relationship with God.

Rabbi Singer's personal character and confidence should be proof enough regarding the outcome of this one-sided debate, but his thorough logical arguements make this almost an unfair.

Short Answer: No. ✡️❤️ Long Answer: Rabbi Singer was very gracious and kind to people. As always, his arguments were well-supported from Tanach. Pastor Sam seems like a genuinely decent person. If he and his family moved in next door, I would be pleased. The trouble is with his misreading of Tanach, of Jewish practice, and of Roman culture as presented in the Greek writings that the followers of Jesus misnamed as the “new” testament. ✡️❤️

Yes and the take away is faith. He believed God would raise him. It also demonstrates that human sacrifice is abhorrent. If it wasn't God could've allowed it and raised Isaac. That would prove the christian claim forever.

On this subject, I heartily recommend a track I discovered by accident (it appeared in my 'recommended' feed) by a British band called UNIT. The track is A Tribute To The Israeli Defence Force and it is excellent - tuneful and forceful without being bombastic combined with a lovely lyric. I know next to nothing about the group but on investigation I see they've recorded a whole batch of Jewish related tracks such as Pesach, Yom Kippur, Bar Mitzvah, Israel Is Real, The 613 Mitzvot and probably others I don’t know about yet. Some of them feature Rabbi Moshe Bryski which is definitely a recommendation in itself.

Isaiah 53 refers to the servant twice in the plural, the physical description of the servant is not at all like J but is like the historical perception of the Jewish people, and then there's the context that Rabbi Singer mentioned.
