HR+ Invasive Lobular Carcinoma Management - OncBrothers (Rohit & Rahul Gosain) w/ Dr. Jason Mouabbi
Discussing the management of Invasive Lobular Carcinoma with Dr. Jason Mouabbi from the MD Anderson Cancer Center. We see different histologies in hormone receptor-positive breast cancer patients - we will focus on invasive lobular carcinoma in this video. Are these patients different than one with invasive ductal carcinoma? How does the prognosis differs?

So my onco type score was not accurate ? Because they told me with a score of 16 I didn’t need chemo I have lobular. I had mastectomy But was told I did not have clear margins after surgery. I had radiation and aromatase inhibitor.
Hi. I’m 43 and I just was diagnosed with invasive lobular breast cancer with triple positive and BRCA1. Tumor size 8mm on MRI, 5mm on ultrasound. Just had a double mastectomy and waiting on pathology still after surgery to confirm size and if it has spread to lymph nodes. Seems rare to be lobular and HER2. Treatment with no spread is planned for 12 weeks of taxol and herceptin for 12 months with tamoxifen after. Any advice? Do you offer consults?
What is the significance of the once a month ovary suppression shot VS the three month? Ovary removal? I have stage 2 ILC, premenopausal at 48, finishing up AC-T chemo now, but will be on an AI and ovary suppression drug after radiation.

My cancer my dog diagnosed 3 years before NHS in UK would listen. They found a 73mm lobular tumour and lymph node x 1 mets. Am I at more risk of distance mets and should I have MRI as a preventative investigation tool?I was given Letrozole for 3 months but it did not reduce tumour size
