My mother is sick with breast cancer, and I cannot afford the treatment expenses. I was also sick before her with social phobia and depression, and my psychological condition became difficult to the stage of thinking about suicide. I endured my illness for 15 years, but the mother came all my life in the world 😭, because she sacrificed for me from a young age. My father died in 1994, and she did not get married for me, even if she was young. We live in North Africa, with very severe difficulties, with difficult living and high prices. I feel that I am close to madness. I see my mother in front of me and I cannot do anything for her as I did. I hope To find a kind heart ❤ here,

I am 67. I am having surgery Friday. I will do radiation, and I might try chemo if I can do it orally. But I have heard so many horror stories about the side effects of hormonal therapy that I don't think I'll even try it. It might be different if I were younger or had a family, I would most likely feel differently. But constant pain for 10 years would make the rest of my life miserable.

at least give it a try. I have been on anastrozole for 3 years and have had no side effects that I have noticed at all. I gained between 5 - 10 lbs, but that is nothing to me

I have been on Anastrozole for 1 month with no side effects. I am 64 years old. I was scared of the hot flashes and pain but have had none. You can certainly stop taking it anytime if the side effects bother you but I would definitely try it. The results of reoccurrence is so much lower if you can take it. Best of luck to you!

@@lindanix7617 Thanks so much! As my doc said, patients who make vids are generally those who have problems. I've found out that my Oncotype score is low enough that I won't need chemo. Since I will be able to start AIs without having already been ill for six to nine months, I'm going to give it a shot. If I don't have side effects that interfere with my work, I will continue taking them. Your post helped me decide. Thank you.

Hello. A family member has also just diagnosed with triple positive breast cancer. Small tumor less than 2cm. Can you tell me what the order of your treatments? What you have done first and have you done radiation therapy? My doctor will start with lumpectomy operation. Then decide what to do next Please reply to me.

@@abdullahkhered7269 I’m not doing well, looks like I have something suspicious in the breast I had surgery, I’m going to do more test to see what it is, I hope it’s not cancer again 😞, that’s why I tell you to tell your family member to do the mastectomy in both breast, the chance for cancer to come back is higher on lumpectomy

My gf has stage 2a breast cancer, Er+/HER-2 negative, with three positive lymph nodes with high percentages of estrogen and progesterone. She is 37, has oncotype score of 6, distant reoccurrence score at 11%, with no apparent benefit with chemo. Her ki67 is 7% and her blood work is 19 U/mL. She is planning on doing ovarian suppression. She is grade 2. She had nipple reserving double mastectomy. She’s very healthy. Her mother and grandmother had breast cancer. I know chemo suppresses ovaries (and helps by 5%), but she doesn’t want it. Would adjuvant endocrine therapy be recommended on these results?

LHRH Agonists such as Zoladex is recommended to be given during Chemo to protect her ovaries. As for adjuvant endocrine therapy, she could be on Tamoxifen or an Aromatase Inhibitor + LHRH Agonist { ex. Anastrozole + Zoladex or Letrozole + Leupron}. I am just a student, this is what I learnt in school. Definitely seek her Doctor's advice.
