Dellow is good man I did a 5speed conversion on my vk I had to shorten my tailshaft they drive heaps better with a 5speed

How does the quickshift go? Thinking about going the same, supra with 308.

how much without labour would it cost for all the parts $$$$ i have a hj van 308 cheers

It’s roughly around $2500 not including a gearbox, but you can generally get a box for around $200-500
Just out of interest what was gearbox and diff? my guess is was a M21 with 3:08 diff ?

The gearbox was an M20 and the diff is a 3:08 yeah
Why choose a stinky t5 over t56/tr6060?

It’s a cheap, easy conversion and is well suited to the power level of the 253

Hahah yeah I’ve been running a T5 behind my 308 in my panel van for 5 or so years now and it’s handled it awesomely, so I figured it’ll work well behind the 253 also haha
15 seconds? My 1.5L is quicker than that 🤣
