HPV Related Cancer

This is video 3 in a series “All About HPV”
Have you been diagnosed with HPV and now you are losing sleep worrying about what cancer you may develop?
You aren’t the only one!!
Today, I am going to talk about HPV related cancers
Stay tuned to the end to hear my recommendations to keep you from getting an HPV related cancer.
Today I will go through 5 points.
1. I discuss which cancers are linked to the human papillomavirus.
2 HPV is the most common sexually transmitted infection.
3 It is not just one virus but a group of viruses.
4. IF you have HPV does that mean you have cancer or will get cancer?
The answer to that is NO. It doesn't mean that you have cancer or will definitely develop cancer. But if you have been tested + for HPV continue seeing your doctor for check-ups.
5. What are my recommendations for you
• Most cervical cancers can be prevented by regular screening. Get your pap smears on a regular basis.
• Most HPV infections that lead to cancer can be prevented with vaccines. Get vaccinated. The new recommendations as of Nov 2018 are that anyone between the age of 9 and 45, women or men can be vaccinated.
Now the Howl of Hope
It is time to just be happy
Being angry, sad and overthinking isn’t worth it anymore.
Just let things flow.
Be positive!
